If there is a class action lawsuit, please count me in! Haverhill is definitely a scam, and I never received any of my assignments back before they went out of business. I think less of HGTV for endorsing this fraudulent company, and they should think about endorsing those that are supported by the BBB.We all need our $ refunded. Please let me know of a class action lawsuit; tiffany.dres@att.net
Hi, Tina ~ I've been trying to wade through Haverhill Institute info, as well, and have been considering enrolling. I, too, would like to hear from any graduates out there. Also, Tina (or others), are there any other reputable and dependable staging/design companies you would consider? It's nerve-wracking trying to decide what is reliable out there!
In any course, anywhere is any school there will always be a bunch of students with just under any %! That proves nothing. There are lots of Haverhill students with over 80% including myself. What does it prove either way?
Too bad, I was going to enroll as well... I just googled the name to get to their site and i clicked on this by accident... maybe it wasnt an accident.. good to hear everyones opinion.
Hi there,I am a Haverhill Home Stager. I passed the course and have met with MANY other stagers who have passed the course as well. It is possible to pass and also possible to pass with flying colours. It's all about the effort you put in. It is a lot of hard work but please do not post the it is impossible. That is a false statement. Thank you!
rick was not that up front wuth me i was told to go for an exetension of the home study course to give my self more time.i was never told at the begining that the whole course was to be completed within the 6 months for employment. good luck to you and me both!
This message board has gotten waaaayyyy out of hand. I've had my home staged by haverhill and they were very professional. The girl that showed up was their employee and spoke very highly of them. (her name is jacquline) sounds to me like a bunch of jealous competitors spouting off. too bad people use these places for these reasons.
I have no affiliation with their company nor am I interested in taking the course. (I saw it on TV and was just curious about he company in general) How many of you people have ever actually been to college? I just read those few questions you state are in their test and they seem no different than any other tests with "fill in the blank" type questions. I've never taken the course, so I don't know what the answers are; but as someone who has never taken the course, the questions seem very easy... IF you studied. It doesn't seem like you have to "guess" as someone said. If I knew about staging, it's obvious that you SHOULD know the answers without guessing. A person who studied staging should know the jargon and language that accompanies it... I don't get it... The questions seem almost seem the "common sense" type, which reading about it and studying it would almost immediately have you knowing the answer. Take for instance this question:30: The ______ in a room determines its ______ and how we perceive everything.Someone without taking the course can guess that the answer would have something to do with space perception and the overall "aura" of the room/house... As a student, you would think you'd know this. Or did they just have questions in the test that had NOTHING to do with the study contents? In this case, you shouldn't be complaining about the test; you should be complaining that their curriculum didn't teach you well enough. As a person who has studied a "staging curriculum" these questions actually seem TOO easy... Unless their questions had nothing to do with study material, then I think their test was valid and most people just didn't study enough. A good majority of college students fail tests due to failing to study... then blame the test! Can't blame anyone but yourselves. Those complaining about their Haverhill test are probably these type of people.
