Here are my thought on some of the reasons that Haverhill has not yet been brought to small claims: -It could have to do with the fact that Haverhill threatens to sue students in-return who try; I know they threatened me! This has not detoured me from considering this option however I can definitely understand how some may be scared off. - Another reason no one has filed may have to do with the fact that even if the courts decide that HH should refund a student...who's to say the company will not just disappear before they ever pay up....what a waste of time that would be! I know of people that have won in court before against companies only to chase the company around for a couple of years and then have the company shut down/ change names and never pay up. Here in Quebec I can take up to 2 years to file so the dead line has not yet passed. In short the reason that no one has filed may not have to do with no student having a case against this company. The students that were scammed have to make a personal decision about how much more time we are willing to waste by pursuing this company. Yes we would make it proven that this company is a scam were we to pursue them in court...but what would this actually accomplish for the individual that has already been stolen from and will never get what belonged to them back?I support the class action suit 100% ...I am on the fence about a personal claim.Hope this answers some questions for someone : )

I can hear your frustration, but before I signed up for the course, I asked a lot of questions. They were very upfront with me and told me that not everyone would be hired, as they were looking for the best of the best for their company. They also told me that I would need to obtain a minimum of 80 % in order to be considered for employment, and that I would also need to successfully complete an interview, before being hired. I was actually really surprised how honest Rick Okada was with me. He did assure me that if I made the marks and had the personality that the company required, that my employability would be a guarantee. I will let you know how things progress when I receive my marks from my assignments and complete my assignments. It does seem like something that is too good to be true, so that is why I really researched it and had many conversations with Rick before signed up. Rick even made me aware that they had some issues with marking assignments, as they were taking much longer to evaluate than anticipated. This information was divulged to me even before I signed up for the course. Rick was very candid with me, and this is what helped me make my decision to take the course. I hope that this works out, and I hope that you find some happy medium. I don't know if I will be hired or not, but even if I don't I have really enjoyed completing the assignments. The only thing I wish that the course had provided is much more information on starting your own home staging business. From what I can ascertain, this is one small, but critical area where the course is weak. Best of luck to all of you, in whatever you decide and in whatever you do!

MK, I can tell you have never been involved in a class action lawsuit. it is much different than small claims. it is difficult to get it certified and can be contested.I also disagree with what you say that people arent filing law suits because they are afraid of being sued by haverill. haverhill has nothing to sue you for if you dont say libelous things about them. the only people that have been sued are those coming on these blogs saying things that haverhill is contesting the legitimacy of.since when was posting libelous statements a pre-requiste to suing someone? if you want to sue them then just do it and dont talk about anything.the people that talk about doing something are never the ones that do it. if you have a case you will win and if you can prove fraud as you say you can then you will have recourse againt the directors.MK what's your email and i will send you some case law examples to read.

Completing the Haverhill home staging assignments will give you a start on your portfolio!! You will have "before" and "after" recommendations and photos of homes that you have staged, so it is not just a "certificate". It is the beginning of a portfolio for potential customers, if you decide to begin your own staging business! Cheers!

Its only 55% to get a certificate, how low was your grade??

MK, if you support the class action 100%, does that mean you will be the lead plaintiff?just so you know, the lead plaintiff is personally responsible to pay all the legal fees if you lose, including the defendents.are you still 100% behind it or were you only behind it if some other sucker takes that risk?MK, the reason people arent suing haverhill is because deep down inside, they know their work didnt deserve a passing grade to qualify for the job and nobody wants to get on the stand in court and show the judge how poor their work was in comparison to people that passed. nobody wants their abilities challenged.and if you took this course because you thought you were buying yourself a job then it just proves that you dont properly read information before hand so why would you read the information in the course properly to achieve a passing grade?because when you say you were scammed, i assume you are saying you were scammed out of a job and not that you paid for the course and never recieved it.let's face it, not everyone deserves 80% but everyone that doesnt get 80% thinks they do.

They do try to help you pass. If you don't pass the assignments, you get the option to do extra work for points to obtain your passing grade. Same goes for the exam...they will allow you a re-write if you don't pass the first time. I think that they really do want you to succeed. That's my opinion, anyway. Why else would they give you other options if you fail the course? They certainly DON'T do that in school or in University...if you fail a test or exam, there are no second chances! You don't have to agree, just wanted to share my opinion and some facts...

You should never ASSUME!! I do not care about a job with this company. I have been working at the same middle class paying job for the last 6 years, I care that I gave this school (I use the term very loosely) $1000 to be taught a new skill/trait but instead of teaching me they sent me a text book full of spelling mistakes and misprints to learn from and cancelled the live learning experiences I was to have with their experts with out warning or compensation.I have never worked in this field before so have not had the chance to compare my work to others, therefore I can not say if I deserved a job and was robbed of it or not. Seeing as I know the quality of work I do in other fields and knowing what a bunch of shysters HH people are....I would have to say that chances are I was robbed of a job....I know HH would not have been a good fit for employment for me anyways. In short I wish I would have learned valuable staging info from this experience or at least been reimbursed once the company new they would not be giving me what I paid for.
