They call from this number & 2 or 3 others. As others have said, if you actually wait through the recording, they'll hang up on you when you tell them to remove you. If you call it back, the number is disconnected.
Was getting calls from this number daily....never picked up once and they never left a message....after reviewing these posts I went into my calling features and BLOCKED this number from making incoming calls to me....the calls have now stopped. Do this if you can it took a few seconds and now I don't need to hear from them again.Peace and Love,Destiny
I've been getting these calls for months and repeatedly ask to be taken off their list and follow up with a complaint to the Do Not Call registry. But this afternoon took the cake. I calmly explained to the man that I can't take this stress anymore. My partner has cancer and I'm very emotionally stressed. He laughed at me. Laughed, laughed, laughed. Cold-hearted S.O.B. Laughed and then hung up on me.If there is a God, if there is Karma, please, let something horrible and painful happen to him and all of his co-horts.
These folks are marketing a credit card or debt consolidation. The way to get to them is to WASTE THEIR TIME. Recommend you indicate interest and give them phony information. Keep their marketer on the phone as long as possible. Talk as long as you can before giving them a funky name, address and credit card number. (When they ask for the credit card number , tell them "you have to go downstairs to get your wallet/bag, etc." Take a minute or two to get back , Oh, now "you need your reading glasses ..." If they suggest that the number doesn't match their records or the name you've given, explain they've been wasting your time; you thought you should return the favor and invite them to call again. Bet you'll be off their calling list.
The same just happened to me! Called it back and it said no longer in service. Who are these people???
Called and left a voice message: "This is Rachel from Account Services...........I immediately knew it was a scam because they call EVERY single day with a new number.
- If you put the number that shows on your cell phone when they call into your phonebook with the name of " !! SCAM - DO NOT ANSWER !! ", you will know it's them if they call again. You just let it ring.- It's YOUR phone, you Do NOT have to answer it. The 'Do Not Call Registry' is turning into a farce because the telemarketers are given too much slack. The Gov't. can not prosecute them fast enough. We have to be more informed on how to make their call to us less profitable.- Did you know that many callers get paid for compiling a list of "active phone #'s" they have contacted? They get paid even more for every second that phone # is listened to. If they get no answer, they get nothing. If you answer and put the phone up to the radio for say 20 minutes, they can rake in the $$$. They just put you on 'active hold' and go on to the next #. You are actually making them $$ and are tying up your own phone (and if it's a cell phone, your own minutes and $$) in the process. If you do not answer the phone, their automated dialer system will probably keep calling, but if they continue to get no answer, they will usually give up because your phone # is not generating any $$ and there are many other # that will. They will probably put your # back into the system after several months because your # might be under new ownership by then. Just do the same thing. - You need to have 'Caller ID' (CID) and 'Caller ID for call waiting (if you have call waiting)' on your phone service, and a 'CID display box' or a phone that reads the CID to see the number of who's calling. Most phone companies also have a 'private call blocking' service to prevent people from hiding their numbers from your phone. This is needed as well. These additions will give you the ability to decide which calls to answer and which ones to just let ring. Keep a written record of each unwanted callers #. Obviously bogus #'s should be logged as well. Exchange these numbers with Everyone you know and on every board you can. Hunt for these companies and their #'s and make everyone you know aware of them. Become the hunter instead of the prey. Happy Hunting. Here's my list:(100)000-0000=Bogus; (201)942-2887=Account Services (credit card telemarketer (cctm)); (202)540-5124=Freesrch Nat.OrgFor Marriage, telemarketer (TM); (202) 556-2270=Teletownhall; (210)401-6082=San Antonio, Tx TM; (312)640-3944=Telesight Inc. When they don't make $$ they go somewhere else. Hunt them down and post the numbers for Everyone to ignore and 'not answer'. If WE stick together and keep each other informed, we can do what the gov't can't. Take your phone service back for your own use. Happy Hunting!!
