I worked for a telemarketing company for 10 years. It is illage to call someone on their cell phone. We have all used our cell numbers for what ever reason. Once you tell them you are on a cell phone, they are to find a number they can reach you at and call you then. I have never had a credit card and I bought my house without any loans. This is crazy. I just dont pick up the phone when they call.
I HAVE RECEIVED PHONE CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER SEVERAL TIMES. ON ALL OCCASIONS THEY HAVE ASKED FOR A PERSON I DO NOT KNOW, I PICK UP AND ITS JUST DEAD AIR, OR THEY DO NOT LEAVE A MESSAGE. I HAVE REPEATEDLY ASKED THEM TO STOP CALLING ME TO THE DEAD SILENCE. THEY CALL ME CONSTANTLY 3 4 TIMES A DAY SOMETIMES. HOW DO I GET THEM TO STOP WHEN ITS NOT ME THEY ARE LOOKING FOR???
They call me twice a day and don't leave a message. When I pick up the phone, it's nothing but silence. I don't know who they are, but they are making me crazy.
I get a call from this number about once every two weeks on my cell phone. A recorded message says this call is for "Pedro Marquez" if you are not PM then hang up. If you are PM stay on the line and in 3 seconds you will hear a recorded message. If you stay on the line you are verifying you are PM. I always hang up, because for all I know this might be some sort of scam where my phone will be charged some outrageous amount for listening to the message. When I called the number they answer "states recovery services" so I can only guess that it is a collection agency. I asked for my number to removed, they said ok, so we'll see!
I called them and told them the name of the person that they were searching for wasn't at the number they were calling. They didn't ask who I was, and the operator pulled my number from their Database.
If these people were legitimate they would leave a message - instead I get missed calls at work and for all I know this belongs to someone else not me. I haven't had this number for very long so this is annoying.
I've never banked at Wells Fargo. As far as I can tell these people are criminals fishing for info to steal banking account numbers, or just plain identity theft. (Notice that they claim to be a bank, so that you feel it's legit to give them your account nubmer and other personal info.) They're claiming to be Wells Fargo because Wells is one of the largest banks, and they know that a certain percentage of people they call will really have accounts there. Don't give them any info, report them if you have the time. And NEVER pay someone who claims to be a collection agency. You often won't be listed with the credit agencies as having paid off your debt. Always insist on paying the original company. If the collection agency is real and genuinely owed a fee, they can work it out between them.
Got a call from this number. They left a voicemail asking for someone I didn't recognize. Sounds like a scam to me. I'm adding this number to my "Do Not Answer" contact list in my phone.
I feel this number is a complete scam. I keep getting calls from a 916-631-7085. They leave a message saying "this is Rebecca, I need you to call me back as soon a possible, I have the information you asked for. Please call back at 1-800-211-1435 ext:103 and use reference number #######."I'm sorry but any legit company or agency is going to identify themself, never in these messages do they ever say who they are or who they represent, a little fishy if you ask me. Why would you have leave out who you are if you are legit. They call 3-4 times a day and it is getting real annoying. I will never trust anyone who is not willing to say who they work for.
