Got a call from this # today. Refused to answer since I did not know who has this # in Dallas, TX. My suggestion, look at the # calling, if you don't know who it is, don't answer! Then google the # to find out who it is. There are crooks everywhere just waiting to take your honest money.
Called by someone from Gulf Coast West around 12;10 pm on 2-20-2103. He asked how I was doing today.I told him that I was very busy. He stated that he would call back another time and hung up. I then Googled Gulf Coast West and discovered that it was another oil and gas drilling scam. I already have been scammedby Uniontown Energy on a Nebraska drilling deal where the potential returns on the wells were grosslymisrepresented by management. The CEO ran off with the shareholders's money. The stock isessentially worthless now. I lost around $50,000.00 on the deal.
Oh my goodness was this an interesting read! I was checking the information because someone called here to talk with the owner about an business introductory...lol. As always I screen the calls and told him if he was interested I would have him call back if he wanted to leave information. He said no Thank You. I had already pulled the number off of caller ID and started the search. Glad I was able to intervene on this waste of time. After being the gate keeper for so many years I gotta say I can pretty much detect the junk callers. My boss (owner of the company) pays me extremely well and deserves me to stop all unwanted calls. Just wish I could get the repeat offenders to realize they are not getting through. I have about another 2 weeks on the Do Not Call Registry until I can start reporting them. Hoping that will work.
Apparently this scam has been going on for a long time based on the number of reports. When they can't talk to the business owner they hang up.
When you get a call like this---tell them to get a job and hang up.No legitimate company makes call like this.
Just got a call from this joker. Knew it was a scam as soon as he started talking... You'd think he'd of given up at some point over the past 5 years. Why can't we have this guy shut down??? Yikes.
They called this morning, and asked for my boss by name. My boss never invest with anyone based on a cold call. I told them to remove us from their list, and to tell whomever he bought the list from that we were not a good lead. Wow, after reading the other post that's not even the half of it apparently!
I'd be worried if I had an attorney who could not spell the word "libel.""Liable Attorney." That made my day, I am liable to be laughing a long time over this.A more likely source for that post is an illiterate telemarketer or employee of a scam operation, perhaps even an executive/gangster.You "marvel at these blogs" (blogs? what are you, 97 years old or just amazingly technically as well as grammatically illiterate? I suspect the latter) and "wonder why more companies don't sue guys like" who? Well, lawyers who make money from suing people usually go after people WITH lots of money. Also, they have to be able to prove that the things said about them are libelous. Good luck with that. Thanks Mr. "Liable Attorney"
My mom went on Match.com and he found her! She called me and gave me the web page to look at and the I googled the number off the web page and found this. The same person and the same picture with a different name. He said that he lived in Dallas. I told her to drop him and do not go back to the page or take more phone calls from him! He has the web page as www.finestmining.com
