Called again today at 12:25 pm est. they never leave a message and I have caller ID so I never answer it. I'm on the DNC list to and renew each year with landline and cell phone but people still get through. I utilize the block feature on my landline but it only goes up to 25 and after that I just don't answer anymore. Pretty pathetic nowadays.
Any idea where they got your telephone number. They also called my parents and they are very upset.
Recieved overnight FED EX package and numerous phone calls from the above number, salesman Ron, to invest thousands in horizontal oil drilling in Opalousa, LA oil wells. Since these folks seem to be canvassing many people for investments, how do we learn for sure who they are and what their motives are?
Called asking for my boss, used his full name (which for the receptionists is a dead sign that it's a solicitor of some sort). Told him that he was unavailable and whether he wanted to leave a voicemail instead. Said no and hung up on me.
You are OBVIOUSLY NOT THE BOSS for a reason. You know nothing about the oil business, or even how capital is raised for general partnerships these days of tight credit. Yet you seem to be an expert on how investments are generated. Give it a rest. AS THE BOSS of my company, you would be fired for interfering in my investment phone calls.
just got the call on my cell - no message. My cell is a Iowa number - wonder if they are targeting the midwest?I am also on the do not call list, bummer it doesn't work for calls like this.
Ever think that just possibly, rich people can be found on phone lists purchased by LEGITIMATE investment projects? How else does money get raised? OSMOSIS? While I never had to phone investors, I sure saw some fine and well-thought out investments for my clients that were offered to them by these kind of solicitations. Of course, you have to do due dilligence, and only a fool would invest from phone information. But if things check out, in writing, I never once hesitated to advise my clients to invest just because they heard about it from an original phone call, followed by WRITTEN CONTRACTS and due dilligence. Unfortunately there are a lot of scams out there...but just do not send money without checking them out. However, very good investments, especially in mining, drilling, and smaller natural resource investments are commonly GENERAL PARTNERSHIPS which do not require SEC registration although the gov't would love to regulate ALL COMMERCE and kill common sense and taking chances. I fear we would have never built dams, bridges, oil wells, or gold mines with today's mindset. Guts makes the world...and like it or not, rich people get deals thrown their way...sometimes by phone.
Why didn't you do what I did? I called the company and complained about the phone call. Never heard from them again. Found out later they (Gulf Coast Western) has never had an investor complaint filed. I am not brave enough to do oil deals, but they were very nice and polite.
