This is "Stuart" from Gulf Coast Oil and Natural Gas"... wants to speak to business owner... he tries about once a week and never, ever succeeds. Remember, I'm the "Iron Gate", heh heh.
He doesn't tell the truth about why he calls. Portrays himself as a friend. Wish I had seen all these posts first before talking to the guy.
Here is a good one for you all....Tim Taylor calls and asks for XXXXXX XXXXX. This person retired over six years ago. This is probably the 5th call I have gotten from this same company asking for the same person. Each time I told them that the individual they were asking for retired....guess they don't update their files, huh? Am still sitting here laughing about this.
More useless baboons playing on telephones. These goons call about 2x per month wanting to speak to the 'owner' and it's always about some oil / gas drilling venture. (Venture is translated as 'how fast will your money disappear? Just watch!')They always promote the Tax Advantages of investing in oil and gas - reading that says you'll get to deduct the loss on your taxes. By "the loss" I mean - of YOUR money. That's always the part that they gloss over really fast.Bad investment guys. Let the oil companies play with their money. After all, we're already bent over their desk taking a screwing as it is....why should we pay extra for dry holes? Or dry humping?
I just got my 3rd or 4th call in the last year or so from Gulf Coast Western, none of which I've answered. It was on my home #, and I simply don't answer calls from numbers that I don't recognize. If they have something that I want to hear, they can leave a message. When they call a business looking for someone, one of the earliest posters on this site gave a really good suggestion: tell them "just a moment, please" and then put them on hold until they hang up. Let them waste their time for a change.I am certainly getting to the point where I agree with many other posters that the Do Not Call Registry is a farce. This number has been reported for many years, but they just keep on going. They have an office in Dallas and an "A" rating from the local BBB!!! There is a notation on the BBB's website that Pennsylvania has recently held hearings on a cease and desist order against GCW based on its attempt to sell unregistered securities to a resident with whom the company had no relationship and who was not a "qualified investor" (to fall within an exemption to registration under state and federal securities law). GCW has fought it claiming that it is selling general partnership interests, which are not securities. I doubt if they will win. So maybe this is where we should be filing our complaints, the SEC and your local state equivalent.
Still putting that stuff up your nose, eh?You picked a bad week to stop smoking crack.....
Yet another call from these oil barons.I keep hoping he'll hit oil, get some on his boots and then attempt to climb some stairs and have an awful slip and fall accident in which he breaks his dialing finger which will slow him down for a bit so that I might get a little rest from his dialing for dollars activities.Probably just a pipe dream.
Well, you could do like their current CEO and claim that you were snorting coke and beating a hooker all night and they just caught you at a bad time the next day.....Hell, it worked for him.
