I tried to set up a payment arrangment they would not set one up they said they needed it friday at noon i let them know it was not even a payday for me they said they could hold off till next friday but it would have to be in full and i could borrow again or they would do a settlement and i could not borrow again they got very mad at me and said they can garnish my wages that is not allowed in TX my sis had a payday loan through this comapny and they didnt garnish wages or take her to court a collection agency bought it and called her 2 years later threating court for a bad check she ended up paing but 2 years later they might as well accept payment arrangments
This gentleman was extremely rude. He called on one of my worker's lines. When I picked up, he asked for my supervisor. I told him she was not available. He said he would call back. I told him that the extension he was calling was not her extension. He started yelling at me and asked how I would know. When I told him I was her Administrative Assistant, he hung up on me. It is illegal for creditors to call you at work.
It's Ace Check Cashing Corporate Office Debt Collector. - Parent got a payday loan last Christmas. Parent died. I'm a contact person on decedant's list of contacts. Now they want to badger me for the loan. Too bad I say. I'm not contractually responsible for the decedant's bills. Sorry Ace Check Cashing. F off! Have a nice day.
I just returned a call from this number because it freaked me out when I got it. They asked if I had an account with ACE cash and when I said no, they said "disregard the call" and hung up. What idiots.
I hired a heater repair man from the yellow pages in Tacoma, Washington to fix my gas heater. He arrived one hour late and we had a verbal over the phone agreement of $85 for one hour of diagnosis. When I checked on him during that hour he said I have to install such and such piece. I said oh' ok clueless as can be thinking has to do with diagnosing what is wrong with the heater..........Then at the end of the hour says that will be $325 and I say "WHAT"? and he says you said I could put that part in and I was like no I did not give you any permission to put any part in............And then that was when I knew I just got duped!Amongst the yelling and screaming and the fighting I could see my 2 year old grand child getting upset so he went down to $181.76 I told him I only had $85 and I could not pay more then I told him to remove his part he said well I have to charge time for that so I yelled out fine....wrote a check for $181.76 he left and then I put stop payment on it and then I got a notice from Ace Cash Express he cashed it there.......and they want to charge me far above the amount of the check. Why did they not call the bank to verify funds? He has no buisness license and no insurance no UBI # and has been fined by L&I in the past for this very act................
No, they cannot arrest you, no they will not take you to court. Lets put it this way. It will cost them between 1 and 5 thousand dollars to take you to court. If you owe 400 bucks on an unpaid payday loan do you think they're actually going to sue you? These people calling you are kids between the age of 18 and 25 mostly. They probably couldn't get a job elsewhere, so they're paid minimum wage to call you about your debts. They also make a commission when you pay your debts. So they're going to try to scare you into paying off as much as they can get you. However, you can probably strong arm them into settling your debt at between 30 and 50% off the original amount owed. And just for a little more fun let me give you a few pieces of bill collector jargon:1. Further action: This means it will sit on the bill collector's desk until the end of the month when it is shuffled to another bill collector.2. Immediate Action: This means they'll call you again tomorrow.3. Out of my hands/No more chances/About to transpire/(something similar): This means...absolutely nothing.4. Mentioning anything about your license/social security number/your work/payroll: This means...absolutely nothing, they're trying to scare you and cannot garnish your wages without taking you to court and obtaining a judgment first.5. I have a case that's in my office: This means that it popped up on their computer screen in their tiny little half cubicle.Don't be intimidated by these people they will try to claim or insinuate they can arrest you, sue you, etc. But in most cases they cannot or will not because you owe less than what it would cost to obtain a judgment. Don't give in to these people, there is no such thing as debtors prison and if you simply cannot pay at this time, sometimes it's just best to let their calls go to voicemail and deal with the debt when you can.
This company keeps calling me and my 15 year old daugther @ school. I keep telling them I'm not the person nor do they reside with me. They don't seem to care. Just because they have my cell phone number I guess that means they can harrass me. So I filed a complaint with the Dallas TX BBB and FTC.gov. Make sure u file ur complaint too! Plus after they left me and my 15 year old daugther threatening messages, I decided to call them back just as many times as they called us today! Each time they hung up on me. Hopefully they get the message this TIME! Next time don't give a loan out without verifying the references, if u are going to call me like I co-signed and owe the money! OMG! I would have told them...
