Why do you have to insult people for doing a necessary job. You know if people would just pay the money they, when it is due..then there would be no need for people to work in collections, but since people will always live outside their means, there will always be collections and collectors. Instead of whining about collectors, why not just pay what you know you owe? Wiorking in collections has nothing to do with intelligence, why is it the collector is in the wrong for asking someone to pay monety that they know they owe...hmmmmm....good question huh.
Someone from this number (female) called this nursing facility asking for one of our employees. I asked to take a message because we were in the middle of a fire drill. Also stated that our company policy doesn't allow personal calls to staff. Caller stated that she was calling to verify employment. I told her to send a fax to our payroll office and gave her the number. She then said, "You said you're having a fire drill and you have time to give me a number?" Very rude. Hung up the phone when I held up receiver for her to hear the fire alarm.
Most of the time collectors are in worse financial shape than the people they are collecting from. And they can never get you for a hot check in a pay day type loan.
Collectors start at 60k before commission (average an additional 2-4k/mon)at most places. If they were in bad financial shape they'd be the debtor, not the collector. You can't sign a contract and walk out the door with someone else's money and not expect them to look for it per the terms of the legally binding written agreement.

I received a package from a rigging company in New York with my name and address but this phone number as my contact number.
Looking for a person (that was not me) about a legal matter.

Calls once or twice per week with voice msg "Brandon from CTS" call me back. WTF is CTS? No context, no real msg.
