Got a call from this number and spoke with a Dominich... He said i had taken out a payday loan in 2008 and they are calling to offer me a settlement... I asked him where this was taken out and he couldnt tell me.. But kept saying you are now in collections for this.. I asked for a direct number and he gave it to me and advised him i would be calling ACE in regards to this supposed loan i took out.. He did tell me before i hung up that it would be a waste of my time because ACE would not have my records.. I said we will see. Called ACE directly and they have nothing on record for me for a loan in collections or an loan through them for that matter.. Called this Dominich back, he got hateful and said i told you they wouldnt have your records, I said they did have my records and there is no loan for me in collections.. He said they dont because we have your records.. He wanted my information and i said if i am in collections then you would have all my information .. He got very upset got very rude then hung up on me... SCAM SCAM SCAM... Beware...
Ace Cash Express called the other day and said that they were calling on behalf of a specific person and were given your name and number as a contact person for verification of a specific person. I told the person that we don't give out personal information about anyone without the specific person or any person giving me(us) prior authorization first. The caller was trying to find a person and wanted to know if I would verify their name, address, and telephone number which they, of course, didn't have. They only had a name. They were implying the person gave them your name as a "reference" in hope you would tell them a person's whereabouts, phone number, address, or anything. I told the person I knew the person they were trying to contact, but that is all the information they would receive and not to call again. There are too many "phone, postal mail, and email frauds" these days and everyone needs to be careful.
Keep getting calls asking for info on someone never heard of...have started just hitting ignore..very bothersome
These people are calling me for my next door neighbor, who just so happens to have my last name. This name is on my credit report as associated with my name. WTH!!! Amscot, TD Bank, and a host of other people flooding my mailbox with mail for him. By the way , his address is the same but add 1/2 to it...his house is about 10 feet away, but these are old home built in 1934. Scam alert!!!
They have called so many times that I blocked their number. I have 26 voicemails from them regarding a payday loan that I never took out. And they have information that my mom worked at a company that she never worked at. They have been harassing me for something that I've never done and I have no idea how they got my information. This is ridiculous
And yet YOU hired him. You should have done your homework on him prior to hiring him. If you did yet still hired him...you're the only one to blame.Ace can collect from you BC you stupidly INTENTIONALLY stopped payment on the check. You gave him the check, then thought you were awesome BC you gave it to him with the intention of stopping payment on the check. YOU deserved to have to pay ACE! BC even had this guy cashed the check at his bank the same results would have happened due to your arrogance!I know this is old, but its people like you who make me question humanity.
I am going through the exact same thing right now with Richard. They have the information to collect from the check writer though threatens me. I've told him several times to go collect from the check writer. My problem is my now EX employer stopped payment on the check and did not inform me about it. When I tell Richard to go after and collect from the check writer he states they are but that I too am responsible for paying back what I cashed of the check plus a $40 fee. So he is trying to get full payment from the check writer AND myself!
