A guy with a heavily foreign accent said he was from windows calling to help fix my computer. Told him I was busy and to call back later, he then promptly told me to go [***] myself. Ridiculous.
I picked up call....'hello, this is Ed from windows calling about an issue with your computer.'. Me: 'I don't have a computer'. silence. :-)
Just got a call from this number, I did not answer. From the comments above it's supposedly a call about my computer being infected, strange I don't have my cell number linked in any way to my computer.
I didn't answer and they left no message. I tried to call the number and the recording says it is a number that has been disconnected or no longer in service. God I HATE these people!
Wow, I figured this was some new scam, but this same number has been giving the same spiel for over 2 years and hasn't gotten shut down yet? That sucks, since it means they must be successful sometimes.Very definitely a scam though.Caller said they were with Microsoft Windows and my computer had been sending error messages, and asked if I was aware. I played dumb and said "oh gosh, no..." So he said they were going to give me instructions on to fix it, and that I'd need to start my computer up and run Windows. I said okay, and then there was a long awkard silence, so I prompted him and said "ok, so what do I need to do?" He asked what I saw, and I cluelessly answered "...Windows?" He fumbled the phone for a few seconds and then hung up. I was kinda disappointed as I really wanted to know what they were going to try and have me do.
Called saying that they were microsoft and my registered OS had a virus and I needed to log on so they could tell me how to rid the computer of it.. PFFFFT! I said "Oh really... and which MSOS version am I currently using?.... their answer was "Uhhhh Windows 10!" regardless if i was or not the uhhh said it all. pfffft! BTW The persons English was nearly unintelligible with the very heavy indian accent.

Claims to be from a roofing team. Somehow knows real name and city. I keep getting texts like this from different numbers, they stop responding when I ask how they have my number.
scam debt collector calling, asks to call a diff number, ignore

Suspected spam. Phone rang twice and then hung up. No voicemail left.
