I just got a call from these guys. I immediately knew it was a scam by looking at the number. I answered and some foreign guy asked if I had a computer. I said why is it any of your business? He said "hang up the phone then b****." Nope, they aren't going to scam me.

Got a call from them. Claiming to be Windows. I hung up.

Caller said name and something about Windows and computer really fast. I interrupted and asked who was calling. Could've been an Asian accent. He said "your computer" rather angrily without giving his name again. I asked, "Who the hell are you?" He asked "Who the hell are you?" Clearly a scam. I hung up.

I received a phone call from 996-903-2154. The person on the line acted as if some support technician from some far away land. Claiming that my computer was sending errors to some Microsoft server. I asked for more detailed information about the server and listened as they tried to improvise from the script they seemed to be reading from. When my questioning became too difficult for them, they hung up. I suspect this to be a case of Social Engineering, where they are trying to get you to give up passwords or download something dangerous to the computer. My advise to all, do not trust these types of calls. You should work with a known IT professional for your company or someone you know before giving people access to your what may be on your computer or what they want to put on your computer.

they contact you and tell you have a computer problem and pay them via mc or visa then they lock up computer and take your money

This is not a valid phone number so it has to be a scam of some sort. I don't answer 800 numbers; they didn't leave a message

Just received a phone call from (996) 903-2154 that portrayed to be a "Microsoft tech support". I couldn't hear him and the call was breaking out but he mentioned that I "download" illegal files onto my windows computer and that I needed to have these files removed and that they would kindly do it for me. When I mentioned for them to repeat themselves, they stumbled on what to say. I was at work and mentioned that I could not talk on the phone and they kept repeating, "okay, I will call in 10 minutes" I said no, I can't talk and that I haven't used my laptop in months. Immediately they went " okay, okay mam, bye bye" as I hung up on him. I know that I did not give them any information, so I hope there is no way of messing with my phone as well? I've heard of stuff like that too.These guys are scammers. I hope they get caught. Ridiculous.

Got a call from this number, I did not say "hello" waited for a few seconds, then hung up. That is when I went to this site and am entering this. Oct. 8, 2015

Just received a call from this number saying "My name is Eric/Aric, I'm from windows". He had a non English speaker's accent and I asked him to continue as I fully expected it to be entertaining as he'd already blown his script, though he hung up as I failed to stifle a laugh. Sadly, there are people out there that obviously fall for this approach. Be careful out there!

I don't answer any calls from numbers I don't know. Answering machine got it t they hung up
