This number along with several others, keep calling my name. I don't answer, I just let it ring.
Back in the days if you pressed 999 and your home phone number, pressed the clicker (on the old phones) once and then hung up. Your house phone would ring and the call display would read 123-456-7890. This was very funny because it use to trip my mom out while we were upstairs laughing our butts off.
Same call here. Three times in three days. First time, I hit the #3 to be removed. Call dropped. Second day, same thing, but instead of a dropped call, I got a message saying I had been removed. Today, another call, and I pressed 1. Waited abotu 2 minutes, and was connected with a very untalkative agent with a thick accent. I immediately demanded a supervisor, and without saying a word, he put is supervisor on the phone. I expressed my disappointment in their do not call implimentation, and explained the three calls in three days issues. He started to try and sell me on a lower interest rate on my credit cards (I own none) and I told him I do not own any credit cards, nor do I wish to apply for one, and that calling the same person three times in three days, after opting out of their calls, was against the law in this country. The supervisor hung up the call. I am now proceeding forward with any and all legal action I can. This kind of behaviour has to stop, and the customers have to speak up to force companies to put a lid on it.
Im from Canada, and i did received that # on my caller id.. My husband did answered and said that it was a recording and its sais something like < This is a test> and it hung up.. weird..

The call (as listed in the title of this area) DOES NOT EXIST! This shows the area code as 123 - and is not a valid area code! The ONLY way to get this to show up, is by a method of SPOOFING, which is now fully illegal in the USA with the new "Truth in Caller ID" law that has been passed. It is also illegal in Canada, for telemarketers to display a number that cannot be called back. What we need to do, is flood the regulating bodies with complaints, until something gets done about it!
I contacted Verizon & all they said was that if it's less than 5 calls a day, they won't bother to investigate. And since the numbers are fake, there's no way to track them on the Nat'l "Do Not Call" list. Thanks, VERIZON, for not giving a crap about your customers.
I have caller ID. .. When I see 123-456-7890 I know it is fake and never pick up the phone. They will keep calling but never answer the phone. They want you to because then they will have won on their phishing expedition to get real phone numbers. BE SMART. These people are SCAMMERS. Fight the resistance to answer the phone if you have caller ID. If you don't, get it... it will save you a butt load of problems.
