THEY JUST CALLED ME ON THE CELL STATING I HAD 24 HOURS TO CONTACT THEM OR THEY WOULD CONTACT MY EMPLOYER. I WOULD BE SENT TO JAIL, A RESTRAINING ORDER AGAINST ME, GIVE ME A BREAK. I SEE THEY ARE ALL OVER THE PLACE CALLING. I DO NOT OWE ANY MONEY TO THIS PLACE - WHATEVER THEY SAY IT IS. LET THEM CALL THE EMPLOYER. I AM GIVING THIS NUMBR TO THE STATE'S ATTORNEY AND ATTORNEY GENERAL ASAP TODAY.

This company first came to the attention of the Cleveland BBB in December of 2012. At that time a New York consumer reported receiving an automated call threatening possible legal action and a restraining order if the call was not returned. Since that time consumers from Wisconsin, Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana have reported similar experiences. At least two of those report speaking with a representative who referenced an alleged payday loan debt. Consumers are contacting the Cleveland BBB on the basis of phone numbers used by the company which contain the 216 area code. BBB is unaware of any physical address for the company in the Cleveland, Ohio area and was unable to locate any corporate filings with the Ohio Secretary of State. It is possible the source may be using a practice known as “caller ID spoofing” whereby the caller deliberately falsifies the telephone number and/or name relayed as the Caller ID information to disguise the identity of the calling party.BBB advises consumers to be cautious of any calls from alleged debt collectors who: • Seeks payment on a debt for a loan you do not recognize • Refuses to give you a mailing address or phone number • Refuses to provide written substantiation of the alleged debt as required by the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) • Asks you for personal financial or sensitive information • Exerts high pressure to try to scare you into paying, such as threatening to have you arrested or to report you to a law enforcement agency This review will be updated as more details become available. I received a call from a private number who left a call back number of 216-644-1249 stating that i had 24 hours to return the call or they would contact my employer. the man stated i had a restraining order pending against me. contacted the number and kept gettng the mailbox was full.

Got the same message. Called back and mailbox full. Will contact attorney general's office. They have to stopped

recieved the same call, i cant afford for them to call my work so i called the number back and it keeps saying mailbox is full, dont know what to do next, but i do now that any thing to do with the courts you are contacted unannounced by sheriffs or individual, so i am hoping what everyone is saying is true thats its a scam

I just got that same call at my place of buisness. Saying something about a resraining order ..I tried calling this number back serval times. no answer..should i worry? what should i do?

Glad to see this wasn't anything new - what's funny is that the one I got said it was a call for Glenda something and this is definitely not my name... LOL... Agreed that these folks are mentally challenged to think this junk will work.

Just received the same phone message as anyone else. I do answer any calls that I don't recognize, including "unknown" calls. I made the mistake a long time ago in applying on-line for a payday loan. I don't care what anyone says, these payday loan companies, who do operate legitmately, are responsible for selling our personal information to scam artist thus resulting in getting these calls. EIther don't answer the calls or change your number. These [***] from India cannot do anything to anyone unless you let them.
