This number has called me about 10 times. they hang up after a few rings and when I pick up it is silent. when I call it puts me on hold.
Received a call from this number 3/10/08 at and 3/11/08 at 8:18 am.
I was wrong. They finally left a message, I called the number on the card instead of the number they left, and it turns out BofA's computers found something fishy and rightly declined it.BofA could improve their technique a bit, though. The no-message thing was distinctly suspicious.
You are wrong about this. The call from the 302 exchange number IS Bank of America!
IS a real bank of america, they called me today.. verified my entire account without me giving any thing out.. never asked for anything personal.do not be worried by this call, theyre just looking out for you!
I have received a couple calls from this phone # and finally the 2nd call they left a voicemail. I already knew it was Bank of America from these postings and so I was already on the phone with them. Instead I just called the customer service # on the back of my card. It's a good thing I did call because there has been fraudulent charges to my credit card and I had to close the account!
Actually, I confirmed wtih Bank of America that this is in fact a fraud. The call was actually a phishing fraud folks!! Again, the number is bogus - report it to Bank of America immediately and to your state Attorney General.
This is a legit automated system phone call from BOA. They caught $400 of fraud charges on my credit card made in another state. Check your card charges and call the number online or on the back of your card.
Received the call twice, Saturday Night at 830pm and 815AM Sunday Morning. It REALLY is Bank of America fraud department. However, the way they answer the phone or leave a message, makes the phone call very shaky! I called and confirmed it was them by calling the number on my crd.
Also got called by 302.731.1166. Called back and just got a long wait time, no one picking up music playing. Thanks for your info here, folks.I have already replaced my BofA Visa once due to fraud. Hoping not to have to again. No new charges on the account.Man, you have to stay so on your toes these days... Thanks again.
