This is CRAZY! - By reading this, it's difficult to tell if 3027311166 is a legit number or not. I got a call from this number today.I almost called it back before I realized that I didn't know anyone in area code 302 (Delaware).IT IS NOT A LEGITIMATE NUMBER!!!!! Don't call back. Go to the bank or check your account online or call the number on the back of your credit card. Do not trust ANYONE offering you assistance, do not give them any information.
I don't know where you got your information. 3027311166 IS NOT A .LEGITIMATE NUMBER!!!!!!!!
I got a call from this number and the caller ID said CARD SERVICES F. I called my credit card customer service and they said it was a genuine number and transferred me to their fraud monitoring department who mentioned a couple of attempted charges on my card which they blocked.
I got a call from this number today. I picked it up because I receieved another call like this from BOA some time ago on Saturday a.m. An automated voice started asking me for info, which kind of freaked me, so I fumbled it up until I got a live person. He didn't ask for any secret info, just address, I think, and knew the latest charges on my account. I verified the ones I knew would be ok, and then he got to one to an Asian products web site. I figured that was ok, because my wife shops them, so I checked with her, and it was. It was a purchase to amazon.co.jp last time. The web purchases seem to trigger their alerts.
I received this phone call from "Amy" claiming to be BOA Fraud Prevention Department. She confirmed my name and asked for my Card number.....she needed to verify. When I started to question her, she hung up. When I called her back, my phone number had been blocked. I contacted BOA immediatly and they said this number is not associated with them.BOA does make fraud inquiry phone calls, however, they will not ask you for any account information, they will verify answers to your previously set security questions input when you opened your account.PLEASE BE WARY OF THIS PHONE NUMBER. The police can not do anything to stop fraud from happening until After it is too late.
This was a real call from BofA Fraud Protection wanting to verify charges on my credit card. Word to the wise: Never call back the number you're given in a voicemail from a bank or other institution. Always call the number on the back of your card/statement. Customer service can route you to fraud services easily.
I didn't recognize the phone number so I didn't pick it up. I presumed it was a computer generated call. If it was someone that really wanted to call me, they would try again later.
Phone just rang 1/2 a ring and they hung up. It was Bank of America fraud alert department calling to verify activity on my credit card. I made HER give me the information to verify, when she prompted me for my account number and asked for information. I told her I don't make it a practice to give my personal information to an unsolicited caller. She then read my information to me to verify. It was a legitimate call. Just poorly handled.
If you get a call from this number do NOT answer it but check your credit card activity online b/c I had over 20 unauthorized charges to my card. I checked activity same day so the charges were still pending so they could void them before they actually hit my account. So glad I googled the number!
