Have been getting these calls for months two or three times a day. NO fraudulent charges ever on my Bank of America card. And no other communication about suspicious charges from B of A. And why doesn't caller ID identify the number if it's legit? Don't trust them, and don't trust annonimus posts on any board. Think for yourself and verify from the source of your card - the bank.
I just got a call from 302-731-1166, saying something about a fraudulent charge to my card. Don't know if it's real or not... Didn't tell them anything though.
This is not a fraud. This number is legitimate. I was in a dept store buying suits. The associate ran my card once and on the second transaction my MasterCard was declined. I started getting calls from this number within an hour. They just want to verify the charges. If you don't believe it then just call the 1800 number to resolve the situation. They will transfer you.
This is legit it is the Bank of America Credit Card Fraudulent Service. It is a computer dialing to tell you that they detected fraud and there is a hold on your account until your charges are verified. Just call the BOA number on the back of your card. Confirm your charges and the hold will be released. Normally this happens when you got a decline on your credit card more than one, or two many pending transactions or a high value transaction that does not appear normal. It is legit, not fraud.
THIS NUMBER IS BANK OF AMERICA FRAUD DEPARTMENT. It was an automated call to verify several transactions I had made with my BofA Visa after not using the card for some time. It asked for either my zip code or last four digits of my SS# to identify me. The caller ID on this call was NEWARK DE. Newark, DE is where the area code is from (302).
The number is fraudulent - I verified with my bank that this is a scam after receiving bogus calls asking for credit card information.
This is in fact a fraud - not Bank of America. Was called by some clown who could hardly speak English - they knew my name already and claimed there was a problem with my card wanted the digits on the Visa card. In fact, there was nothing wrong with the card and the bank said there had been no legitimate attempt to call me.This is obviously a fraud, and the shill for this scam has been trying to jam up this forum with fake posts - advise anyone getting this call not to provide any information and report the call to the bank right away.
It's legit, got this number calling for the last 2 days, Delaware area code. Automated message said it was BOA Credit Card Fraud Protection service and wanted to verify purchased made on the card. Got scared when they asked for last 4 digits of CC or DoB, which is odd because you NEVER give out that info over the phone especially if its an automated caller. So I called my CC customer service # on the back of the card and talked with a rep and yes, it was a legit call and the transfered me to their fraud protection rep. Glad I Googled the # and found this site, I would just ignore the call since I don't know anyone from Delaware!
Having a slow day, shill?Too bad nobody here believes your BS loser - this fraud's been busted. Time to get another Magic Jack chump!
I don't even have Bank Of America so for them to call me is clearly not legit. Banks tell you right up front, "we will never ask for your personal information." If they do they say, "please let me have the last 4 digits." I hope they call again so I can mess with them. No bank would call more then once and not leave some type of voice mail. Yeah they just call everyday and don't leave a message, even though they are a legit bank...If they steal money from you over the phone, then you are obviously the stupid kind of person they try to lure into their traps. Congrats.
