The boa operators need to get with the program I just had one tell me for 20 minutes she checked all the numbers and didn't know this one. Then she said boa doesn't make calls to people's cell phones and if they did they would have left a message - I just hung up after I realized it is on the back of the card!!!!
Call the number on your card
Wasn't a scam for me. I took out a lot of cash to lend my mom and they called me an hour later to make sure it was me. I don't care if you think its a scam but it wasn't for me.
That IS the number on the back of their cards!
Well I got an email, a text, and call in the last two days saying my card my have been frozen due to unusually activity....yet it still works! When I got the call, I tried to call right back and got a message that it was an overseas call and they would accept the charges!!! I've never had to call overseas to get ahold of BofA. So I believe it is a bunch of BS!!!!
They told me there is a paranormal activity on my BOA card, but I do NOT HAVE a BOA card.
tw missed call from this number, when I called back, it said "international collect call".
dude i got a call today myself from 315-724-4022 - i quickly googled it and found this thread as with the elections i have been demotard spammed with political calls so i look them up first - by the time i saw it was a boa number the call hung up. no message. so i called it back - went to boa debit fraud line, i get an operator. said no fraud on my acct. said no one called me but i told them this # belongs to them and i called them back on it. later in afternoon i get one of those phishing emails - and guess what - it had my acct name on it. how the hell did the phisher get my friggin account name?????
I got this call yesterday, just a VM bc I didn't answer. It said there was unusual activity and a hold placed on my card. They called my number, but said my husbands name (why didn't they call his number?) He has had this happen before where he bought something very expensive and BofA actually did put a hold on his card, but they called AND sent him an email. We did not receive any email yesterday. So instead of calling the number left in the message back, we called the number on the back of our card and they said that is not one of their numbers. They said if they had actually called about suspicious activity it would have shown up as an 877 number, toll free. Said 315-724-4022 is a phishing scam. DO NOT GIVE ANY INFORMATION.
I can only speak for myself but I had a call from this number at 8:30am and never answered. When I got online I checked email and there was an email from my bank (B of A) saying unusual activity on my dedbit card and they had placed a hold on it. I called them and they thought it was unusual because I purchased a cell phone from a carrier other than my usual one for a large amount. I am switching cell carriers so it was a legit charge. lol Thought it was kinda nice they looked out for me. But I would never give info to someone on a number I did not know and handled it by calling the 800 number I had for my bank to square this issue.

They do not leave a message, so I will NOT answer the call or any other no-message calls.
This is a lovely woman, who is kind and compassionate. You should definitely take this call. She will help you if you are the one she is calling for.
This is a secret shopper call. Making a simple process hard for customer service agents. They cause you to lose your job. I wish Citibank would do things differently. Thinking about not doing business with them.
