I received a call today stating they were Bank of America and I needed to verify my information on activity on my account. I told them I would call them back to verify who they were when he asked for my online access password.
Hello guys, just to confirm this is a legit number from bank of america fraud detection department, and the reason why it hand up when you pickup your phone is because this is an automatic system who call you when they send you a message when the system detect an "Irregular Activity" in one of your account. If you dont trust me just check your email after you receive the call and you will see the message they send you to call them.
I have received three calls from this number and I will not answer. The calls are too close together --if they won't leave a message - I won't call. Glad to see these posts.
i keep getting a call from this number about charges on my boa atm card...i do not have a boa card or an account or anything...FRAUD
This is 100% legit!!! My BOA card was hacked and a bunch of fraudulent transactions were performed!!! Do not ignore this if you get a call from this number!!!
I received at least 3-4 either daily or weekly for the last month. Today I received a text message saying there has been unusual usage on my ATM card and it is being put on hold. I noticed an icon on my phone that has never been there before.( a computer icon). I think the hacker is attempting to access bank accounts thru our cell phones. Be smart and conscious of how you use your phones and computers. I also would love to see these [***] holes caught . Any ideas?
If people get a call claiming that their credit card got hacked, they'll have to call the number on their card to verify if its real or not, and not call some random number back that claims to be Bank of America or any other bank. Credit card scammers are 100 percent illegit cowards. Their parents must be proud to have wimps as their sons and daughters.
robo caller ignored the sit tones and "the number you have dialed is not in service: four times !!!i have NOT given out the number to my cell phone which i have only had one month. robo caller left message about unusual activity on a ATM card for moni-que (monique read by a text reader) in ???. and a number to call with a refernce number. well i am not monoque and i do not have business with boa.so far i have had 14 "bad" numbers and 13 invalid (11 digit) numbers in a month to my "new" used cell phone number. i cant even have vibrate or a ringtone turned on.
I got a call from 315-724-4022. Computer message saying that a hold might be placed on my account due to potentially fraudulent ATM activity if I don't call back at 866-502-0808 by November 7th (two weeks?) and give a six digit "message code". I didn't like the sound of it, so I called the number on the back of my card. A BOA reprentative said that there was no hold on my card, no unusual activity, and said that neither 315-724-4022 nor 866-502-0808 were BOA numbers. She said BOA does make call calls when suspected fraud, but this wasn't one of them. ALWAYS CALL THE NUMBER ON THE BACK OF YOUR CARD.
