Confirmed with Bofa. It is a SCAM.They called me more than five times over last week.Last time I was able to talk to someone there, she asked my SS number.I said I didn't have one, then she asked my passport and ID number. Why? I do not know. I said I left them home. She gave me to call backwith the passport and ID number to 877-733-5734.It made me doubt. I called the number on my bofa card to find out the legitimacy of the call. Bofa say the number is INVALID. YES. AS PEOPLE HERE SAY, THE NUMBER 315-724-4022 IS LISTED ON BOFA WEBSITE, EXCEPT the fact that THE NUMBER IS OUT OF SERVICE AND HAS BEEN LONG DEAD. Other fraudsters picked up this number and started their "business". I advise you to fool around a little bit with those guys if you ever get a call from this number. It will be fun. Say that you are going to sue them, you will reverse trace their location, send police, or anything, be creative. JUST DON'T BE SERIOUS WITH THOSE GUYS.Anyway, if you doubt, simply call the number on the back of your Bofa card.Don't read all those comments below. Just call and find out yourself. When I found about it myself, it was a SCAM. If you don't think so,don't post your opinion here. If you are so confident, why not just let people call and find out themselves, you FRAUDSTERS!
MAY I THEN PLEASE HAVE THE LAST 4 DIGITS OF YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER, PLEASE???
Yes, FAKE SCAM PHISHING ALERT !!!They screw up by mentioning getting online banking alerts. DUH !!! Simply check your online banking to see if you received any mail alerts from BoA directly. Never ever call any phone# that calls you. Go to BoA site and call their number instead. THESE ARE CROOKS PHISHING FOR INFORMATION !!!ALERT ALERT ALERT !!! Crooks are also on this site... do not listen to their drivel !!!
Lol, I don't listen to what any of the people are saying about this being a legit phone number for Bank of America. I just bought the phone yesterday and today I got 2 calls from them and ignored them both times they called. If this was a legit number then they would realize that I don't use Bank of America anymore. So i'm guessing the few people who are saying it is legit i'm guessing their the "masterminds" of this little scam. And i'm guessing they even made a little fake website from Bank of America that has their number on there. So be careful everyone, if you get a call from them you can either hang up or play along with them and as soon as they ask for your SS number just be like "Yeah, sure. It's 018-42-*click* I think that would work just fine. Haha
Legit number. Bank of America flagged my card due to some weird activity by a merchant. They called me the next day to attempt to clear up the issue. For safety's sake, I chose to contact them instead of trusting an incoming call.
I called my number on the back of my card and not the one the message gave me. Turns out. ITS LEGIT! I bought a song from karaoke-version.com and the transaction came up as Paris, France so they're just making sure I knew what was going on. I verified its a legit transaction and they've removed the restriction on my account. They it it over the phone. Then I waited an hour, called BOA again and confirmed what just happened and they told me there was an issue with potential fraud and I called in to verify the transaction. Once it was verified, they removed the restriction and now I'm all set.

Caller said they were from FNBO and wanted to verify information about a credit increase/application. I hung up because I have not applied for any credit or credit line increases.
Annoying Calls on my cell.
Have gotten almost a dozen calls from this number in the last two days. Hispanic speaker, when they speak. Men, women, even children in the background on one call. Finally, blocked the number.
