Calling to monitor my computer. Requested my computer ID info ???? Requested to be removed off this list & hung up
Spoofing Amy Murphy's phone number or another person's phone number while pretending to be Microsoft in Redmond Washington just to claim they spot something on a computer that they never did - it is a scam to collect money under false claims
I received the call a few times and finally answered the phone out of curiosity. It was an a dude with broken English claiming he was calling about my computer issue..Blah. Blah. Blah. I laughed in the phone and hung up and blocked the number. I called my mother (79) to alert er and would you believe she also has been receiving this same call. Warn everyone. I am. So sick of dishonest people!!!
Same as the others.... "Hi this is Jason (with a very heavy Indian accent) with Computer Services we are calling because your computer has a problem." I informed Jason that my computer does not have a problem, however, maybe he should attempt to find a real job instead of trying to scam people at 7:30 in the morning! I also instructed Jason on how to do a few others things, but I won't put those comments here....
I just received the same thing. Male caller, heavy India accent as he spoke English. He said they had received feedback that my computer was sending issues. He told me to press the window button and the letter "r". This opened the Run window. He wanted me to type in "www." I cut him off and said no. I asked who he worked for and he repeated the error report feedback he had received about my computer. I continued to say no. And then asked how his day was and he hung up. I hope no one else falls victim to these scams.God bless
Say OK fix it. If they say we need authorization? Say OK you're authorized. When they ask for your IP address, say you already have it since you've been monitoring my computer.
