OMG, KC really is a piece of work. They are spending more time creating a Rumors & Myths page rather then update their Customer Service page. I found out yesterday that Brian is no longer with KC (I think Adam left in Dec), yet both are still listed as GMs on the Customer Service page with email and phone numbers. So sad!!!
first you do not have licensed contractors working for you thats a lie second the going rate to install cabnets is 25 dollars per box not 15 dollars and 10 dollars to demo old ones . no where has a large company like you are claming to be made a subcontractor supply there on tile and wait untill you get paided to pay out . i am a real kitchen and bath contractor and with 25 years of real contracting ot prove it you are a bunch of kids getting rich off the sweat of some poor people that dont know better. a real cabnet company makes there own cabnets not orders them from armstrong.
I had a kitchen installed by Kitchen Carolina and had great service from them. All the installers were very polite and the install went very smooth. From the sounds of all of these posts I am one of the lucky ones and it sounds like I got mine started and comepleted just in time. I was put on a reference list for them and started getting 7-10 calls a week from potential customers who wanted to know about my experience with KC. I had nothing but good things to say about them because I had such a good experience and a beautiful kitchen installed. If any of the posts on this list are people I spoke with I am truly sorry.... I had no idea. I feel so bad about this I feel like I have been scammed as well. Sounds to me like they started getting greedy and selling WAY more jobs than they could keep up with.
We took on a few clients of "kitchen carolina" they had very poor workmanship hired and we went in trying to make something good out of a mess. Not all of this was Kitchen Carolina's fault. The poor communication and not screening subs was a big part. Never the less we completed many kitchens with good results unfortuneately we ended up spending alot of our own money to make customers happy. So as result to contractors and customers, when having work done to a home, car etc please check out who you are interested in thourghly. Best of luck to all.
You are one of the the lucky ones. I should have listened to my instincts but did not, the red flags were there but could not find anything negative on them at the time. RUN don't walk the workmanship was mediocre at best.
sorry mr installer but i already paid money to kitchen carolina (not exactly thrilled with that) and i'm not paying for something twice (unless i actually do the hiring to finish my mess of a kitchen). You worked for Kitchen Carolina not the homeowner.
They are still around and some people "like myself" are trying to fix the mess that has been created. First they got too big too fast and without the help of acredited sub-contractors such as my co. We have spent our own money to try and kepp a smile on customers faces so that they can trust local small companies again. Kitchen Carolina just had some poor business ethics and made some costly decisions. It is a great concept but you have to have the right people to run a strong business in these times. Best of luck to all sub's and homeowners [ridinwaves91@yahoo.com].
Why do you say that the work is crap if you use to work for them? You use to do the work? So how is it crap?
