i also received a call from this number. When they started asking me questions about information that they should have had if they were my card holder, i confronted them regarding a scam and a bogus call. They hung up on me immediately. I called my credit card company and reported this giving them this number from caller Id. They said that it was a fraud call
I have recieved a call from this number about the credit fraud sceem. can anyone do anything about it. I wish i knew how to block it from calling my home number.
I got a call today no message. called back got a recorded message asking if I wanted to be off their call list push this button. It came from Colstrip, Mt.
I received this call today while I took an afternoon nap. I hit the "Ignore" button on my cell phone because I didn't want to talk to anyone. I woke up, called it back. No ringing, and the call ended. Still curious, I looked up the area code. It's from Montana, I don't know of anyone who lives in this state. So I googled the number. Seems we're all on the same boat here. They left no message. I don't just give anyone my number, I'm very careful when I do. After reading all these other experiences, if they call my phone again I'll be more then happy to tell them to [***] off. I'll be gladly waiting for their call! I have no debts, no credit cards. Anyone who falls for this one deserves to lose their money. But this number should taken care of by someone of importance. Just another scam...
Started with an automated recording which was cleverly worded to dupe really stupid people. Stated there was nothing wrong with my credit but they could lower my interest rates and the opportunity was about to expire. Technically legal and worded like a cheesy infomercial.I pressed one to talk to someone and a black guy named Sean answered. I asked why I'm being called since I'm on the do not call list and what company he represents. He simply apologized and hung up.I find it an annoyance and will report them to the federal and state of Indiana do not call complaint sites. On the other hand I find it really amusing they're able to get CC numbers off some fools.
Don't feel bad, they are too good at what they do..I fell for one too but realized it, hung up on them and called my Visa to have the number changed before they could change anything on it.A mistake I will never make again. Lucky no harm done.
I just started getting multiple calls a day from this #....which I do not answer and they do not leave a mssg. Does anyone know who/where to report them to in the state of Indiana? (It may have been posted already, but I don't have time to go back and read through a year's worth of posts.) I'm on the state wide and national do not call list already. I'd be more than happy to file a report or complaint against these annoying scammers if I knew how to. And don't they always call at the worst times???...like when taking a nap, just sitting down to dinner, getting in the shower, hands full of groceries, etc.....they drive me nuts!! It's nice that there is this site so people can collaborate their stories, but it'd be better if someone/agency monitored this site and took note of the offending numbers and DID SOMETHING ABOUT THEM!!! *** Also, I know on some types of phones you can block a # from calling or assign a silent ringtone to it....unfortunately, I do not have one of those phones. But that advice may work for some who don't know. Thanks in advance for any help :)
Got a call this am. Jokes on them-I have no cc and would NEVER EVER give the number out if I had one. And I do not answer numbers I do not recognize. My home phone number never gets answered anymore and soon it is going away to be replaced by my cell phone number. It is annoying at 8:00 in the am but I still will not answer them. I have registered with the do not call list a couple of times but it does no good-it is a big joke. Just do not answer them. If enough people ignore them maybe they will go away.
If the government can search for, find and execute Osama Bin Laden they most certainly and without a doubt track this group of people, arrest and prosecute them. Why does our government do nothing? It matters not which party is in power, there is simply no will to protect average American citizens from economic crime. Which leads us to the question what do we do with the governments money, which is our money? Topic for another day. If you research this a bit more you will find that individual states and Commonwealths do at times find those responsible. There is no arrest, trial or verdict. Those caught pay a fine and do not admit wrong doing. After this they simply rent an office or work from home with new throw away phones. As you can see the fine is not large enough to stop them from doing business. Let's say they make 100.00 dollars of a person who is frightened or who believes that these people can help them. The Attorney General and the lawyer who represents the criminals make a deal. The fine is 25.00. Well that leaves them 75.00 dollars profit. With only 75.00 dollars in profit it will sure deter them from setting up business some where else. Let us even say they are fined 100.00 and no admission of guilt. they broke even and will begin anew. Can you imagine an individual going into a store looking dangerous and demands a 100.00 dollars. He walks out and is caught by the police. This person goes into court, admits no guilt and pays a fine of 25.00. Well he learned his lesson too. Next time he'll ask for 200.00 dollars and pay a 50.00 dollar fine. There is so much more as to why these "companies" and many others like them are allowed to operate. This again is for another topic.God LuckThis is essentially what these companies do.
