Got a call from them regarding an American Chemical Society survey. Took three minutes and the rep was very courteous. I'm a member of the ACS, so it doesn't seem like they had purchased a list of phone numbers for telemarking.

Thanks, Amy. I just asked to be removed also. I do contribute to public radio stations and to the Cincinnati zoo - funny thing is they call on my cell phone and I never give that number out! How did they get it???

yes, i have been getting those calls at work to. i have been waiting for them to leave a message. but they havent. so now that i know they have been harassing everyone, i will pick up next time and cuss them out. hahaha

I've been getting the call about every other day for the past two or three months. I answered once and they said they were calling about the AIAA (American Institue of Aeronautics and Astronautics) but I told them I wasn't the person they were looking for and that he was out of town. They keep calling.

I have received multiple calls from Comnet regarding my American Chemical Society membership. They call in inappropriate times and disrupt my normal routines. I went to the link, thank you very much for it, and removed myself from Comnet's calling list. I also called their customer service rep and had her remove my phone number from their list. I'm also going to call ACS tomorrow and tell them that if they give my name and other membership related personal info to any marketing company, I'm going to report them to whatever the authority is there to take care of this nonsense.

I goofed - it wasn't my cell phone they called on, it was my home phone! Sorry about that.
