Got called twice from this number, no message left. Portfolio Recovery Associates? No idea what it could be about.
Portfolio Recovery Associates. Told me they were recording the call and it was an attempt to collect a debt that was from over 8 years ago. I always reply I will not allow myself to be recorded, it pretty much ends the whole thing right there because they can't proceed with the recording.
Received a call, 2:00pm, no message. Portfolio Recovery Associates? Who knows. Tried calling them before to find out what the call was about, there was no answer. Qué será será!!!
this is portfolio recovery a fraudulent collection agency. they find paid, old or discharged debt and try to collect it. address po box 12914 norfolk VA 2354. don't acknowledged any debt. ask for verification of debt, written agreement with your signature. they won't send you this because they don't have it. then send a written letter with return receipt asking them to only contact you via mail. after you find out they received this letter keep record of EVERY time they call and you can file suit against them. pass this on to stop these jerks!

here is what worked for me: since they harass me i harass them. i have begun answering the calls and just cussing them out hard core. so far it has worked no calls in 3 days
send them this with return receipt, do NOT sign it:Per the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, cease all phone communications with me about this alleged debt. Receipt of this letter is officially being time stamped via Certified Mail. I will pursue each subsequent phone call from your office with a $1,000 per incident penalty for Fair Debt Collection Practices Act violations.
