Just got a call. Sent to vmail but of course nothing.

Per the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, cease all phone communications with me about this alleged debt. Receipt of this letter is officially being time stamped via Certified Mail. I will pursue each subsequent phone call from your office with a $1,000 per incident penalty for Fair Debt Collection Practices Act violations and this post applies to Portfolio Recovery Associates from 620-860-2755.

Portfolio Recovery Services is the owner of this number. Debt collector.

I use Xtreme Call Blocker on my Droid. I works great. You can assign what to do with the blocked numbers. For example: hang up, send to VM, answer with some annoying screech etc.

These people call me all the time and always from different numbers. I have asked them not to call but they still do! Annoying!

That only works with debt, If you acknowledge or offer to pay then it resets. They can't just start calling you again for 5 years

Actually, the collection agency needs to follow the laws in the state in which the debtor resides, NOT the other way around. Therefore, collectors must be educated with the relevant state laws in order to be in compliance.

thi is another number of portfolio recovery a zombie type debt collector that has harassed us at least 15 times in the last three days with various phone numbers husband told this harassing woman he was my attorney and he told me that he really shook her up,,,,,these people need to stop harassing me we are senior citizens and this is probably debt from over 10 years ago,again they use muptiple numbers,,,,,

and they can't get it back....hahahahahahaha

These jokers are calling us to collect a debt from my wifes ex-husbands sister. Then trying to tell us she gave then this number as whre she lives. We have absolutly no contact with her, and never will.
