I got 4 back to back calls starting at 12:35am with getting a call that late I worried at first something was wrong then I answered it was a male speaking his name then a recording saying it was a inmate at North County Corrections Facilities, press 1 to accept 2 block or just h hang up so that's what I did then received the 3 others one. I noticed on caller I'd after looking I got one call two days ago from the same number
OK what jail? I'm in CA and just got the same call. But my call did give me a county. But I hung up on call. I don't know any one in jail.
I didn't reconize the area code so I didn't answer my phone. The call went to voicemail.Whoever was on the other line said his name too fast and it was followed by a recording that said, "An inmate from the Male's Central Jail". Are you serious? Even if I knew someone who was in jail, I still wouldn't take the call!!!
I reived a call from this number and heard a recording telling me there was a family emergency. I was told it was a collect call and asked if I would be willing to accept the charges if not then hang up which I did. Then a minute later the phone rang again from the same number(I have caller ID) I received the same message and I again hung up. It was after 1 am and I had turned in for the night. I received another call and simply let the phone ring until it stopped.
a person with the name andy keeps calling this person is calling for someone that had this number.. received calls at 1:30in the mornig please stop.
I keep reading about this scam in Texas. Well they are calling Arizona now. I just received 10 collect calls in a row from an inmate in central jail. I finally excepted the charges because they kept calling and are still calling. I was told the same thing that everyone else has been told. An inmate that I know is in protective custody and needs medical attention and I needed to call *72 1-323-807-2979 and ask for Sgt Janko. The guy told me he was calling from Chandler jail and even gave me the booking number 4000159. Knowing that *72 is a call forwarding feature I have not called the number. I did however call the Chandler Police Dept and they told me it was a scam but there wasn't anything they could do about it. Why these scammers want you to forward the number I do not know. All I do know is these calls are annoying.
received a call around 11pm from 713-981-0098. it was a collect call stating my number had been listed as an emergency contact and gave me a booking # and said this person was hospitalized for me to reach officer Brown at *723234941973......THIS IS A SCAM- *72 will forward your calls to what ever # follows *72.If you have a Sprint Cell phone you must dial *720 to remove the call forwarding.They make it sound like its an ER- Do not provide no personal info.......
