AES is a pain in the butt, but they are legit. I have a few student loans through different companies like Sallie Mae and others, and they all sell the accounts to AES, so even if you did not take out a loan with AES, they end up with your account.
Try this one, I don't have any student loans, never been to college and owe nothing but they still keep calling me.........
Keep getting calls from these people and other like outfits looking for someone with my husband's name in connection with a student loan. Told them all my husband only recently moved to this country, has never been a student here, let alone had a loan. Most of them have the wrong date of birth and the wrong address and state. If they did some basic research before they called they'd have figured that out quite easily. Even so, AES were so rude and shouted down the phone threatening that he had to call himself. Any tips on how to file a complaint appreciated.
I just got home my wife is speaking to a guy named sam a collector for a loan for our son Mike who is Iraq, his loan has been deferred demanding she pay right now 500.00 I ask what is going on he gets a manager Jim the rudest person i ever spoke to he hangs up on me turns out my wife has paid $3200.00 in the past few months to these scam artist I called AES they have no record of any payments being made and the account has been deferred the number they give her to call is 717-720-1500 I'll be calling the attorney Gen in the am and filling a complaint hope this can help someone
AES is the company your student loan goes thru....so stop being retarded and pay your loan so you dont become a dead beat in major debt...you do realize that intrest on your student loans just dont stop when you dont pay?? all the people on here saying AES is a scam are making other people dumber by listening to you!!!! here is a thought why dont you call the bank hat gave you your student loan and i bet you a million $ that they tell you your payments go through AES (AMERICAN EDUCATION SERVICES)
Having dealt with AES in the past, and having to deal with them every month, I can say that they do have the worst customer service and procedures. I was told once that "we don't have managers here" when I demanded to speak to a manager regarding my account.I have reported them to the BBB, and to the PA general attorney, but the fact is this: AES is the for-profit company started by the Pennsylvania government, almost the entire board is made of senators and representatives. It doesn't matter what it does, they're protected by the government.
It is AES! I've been receiving phone calls from this number for a few days now and since they didn't leave a message I checked it out and ended up on this website, which led to be believe it was a SCAM but since they kept calling I decided to answer and found out it is legit. The operator was able to read me my information and answer all my questions, and I found out why they were calling me. It is AES people...
I know your company is legit but also stupid. They can not get the payment applied correctly. I am going to talk to a lawyer for unnecessary harassment. My son has had loans with you for 4 years which I pay part and he pays the other. We have NEVER, NEVER been late with one payment and your company does not know how to apply them properly. They call us every month to tell us we are behind, we tell them to check the account over and then you find out you are incorrect again. You tell us it takes 7 to 10 days to correct and in the meantime we are continually getting harassed for payments. This happens EVER single month and I have had it. If they cannot get competent people to work there then maybe we can hire some monkeys and see if they can do a better job. I have had it with your company and will seek legal help with this.
