I receive calls form this number, I do not want to receive these calls anymore.
I have loans through this company. If I am even just the slightest bit late, I get harassed by this number, an 800 number, or e-mails. Once, despite having paid 3 months out, they called my co-signer (my dad) 8 times a day for the $5 balance on the advance payment. The loan I took through them was in 2003, and I went through Huntington Bank. If you are reading this and know someone who is heading to college soon and thinking about loans, DO NOT GO THROUGH THIS COMPANY. They are horrible.
Came from 717-720-1508. I didn't answer because I didn't recognize the number. The message said that it was concerning my brother, then a recording came on with an 800 number for me to call back. I do not plan on calling! I'll tell my brother I got the call and he can go from there. I'm not even sure how they got my cell phone number.
i just got the call on my cellphone. i didnt answer it. no message was left. i texted my husband and two kids and told them not to answer if they call them.
I just got a phone call from this number, I didn't answer it cuz I was asleep, there was no voice mail left so I figured it must not have been important! I didn't recognize the number since I was on my backup phone as my phone I use everyday had just stopped working so I figured it might have been a friend or something trying to call so I called the number back. When I called back I got the same thing everyone else here did, figured that it was a mistake, so I googled the number and i Found this page and curious as to why someone would be calling my phone about student loans that I DON'T have, I called back. When I called at first it was all automated then I was put on hold maybe a minute, then a male answered and asked for my name [of which I didn't give as it was not important], I asked the guy why would a loans agency be calling me in general and he said well he needed my name before he could tell me and again I told him it wasn't important and that in general why an agency would be calling me if I don't have any student loans, he said maybe because someone used me for a reference which I thought could be possible but since that's all I needed to hear I hung up on him. Now what gets me is that if you are a place of business then your phone number should come up with some type of official google page or something more than a random number in google. I know when I googled my job phone number it showed up right away the first listing in google and google maps. In my honest opinion, this is a scam and be very careful with how you respond to these people.
Really? You claim to be a rep with this company and you put that type of garbage out there for the world to see? I would be embarrassed to admit I worked with someone like you.
this is definetly AES. not a scam. I have tried to get my loans deferred and they deny me everytime. for what reason i dont know. They harrass me on a daily basis. Calling ALL the time. I make payment every month, not always what they want me to pay though, I just cant afford it. I can agree that the people are rude and obnoxious and no help whatsoever. But what are you going to do! they are debt collecters !!!
I get calls from this or other numbers several times a day and on weekends. My son has loans with aes and I am the co-signer. He is in school and his loans are deferred but they keep calling and demanding payment. Recently they sent me a threatening e-mail. I never gave them my e-mail address. We owe them no money but they are threatening to ruin my credit score.
We got a call from them, well several actually. Last month, after they received our payment, they called and talked to my husband about his student loan. They asked him to send more money! Not because he was behind, not because he was late (which he wasn't), but just to make a higher payment than was needed, for no reason at all. WHAT!? Then this month (his payment isn't due for 6 more days), they called today, he refused to give his birthdate over the phone (they called us, why should we have to prove who we are?), so the lady on the phone said she would note in his file that he refused to confirm his date of birth and wouldn't tell him why she was calling. He said fine, I already sent payment so I don't know why you would need to call me anyway. An hour later, they called asking for me (I co-signed), luckily I recognized it as the same number and instead of answering let it go to the machine and came here. They did leave a message (surprise) asking for me and saying they had an "urgent business matter to discuss." Yeah right, I checked my account online and we're current, so I won't be calling back.
I tried to call this number and if they are about students loans then they should not have started talking about tax information. I am also insulted that if they are calling about student loans, then spanish should not have been being used. If someone cannot speak English well enough to attend school, then they should not be allowed student loans until they can speak English. I am not in arrears in my taxes and did not feel like listening for their choise of options. This is an insult. They should not even be calling like they are just trying to get a foothold into your business.
