Harrassing calls continue for my husband who cosigns for my son who has never been delinquent and still enrolled in good standing, straight A's.We both paid off our student loans years ago. Apparently they continue to mix up my husband with a younger student with same name. Best thing to do is to get caller ID, call blocking and call intercept. If they are legit then they can send a certified letter.
I received this call as well. I just made the last repayment installment on my AES student loans. I neglected to give any information, and then responded by calling AES with a number provided on a past bill. I suggest if you have AES loans to do this as well. You do not want to neglect finances which may potentially harm your credit rating.
This number just called me, so I called customer service at 1-800-233-0557 and had them deactivate my number and only contact me through mail!! I recommend doing this. Oh, and I do have a loan through AES which is why they called, but after reading post after post of the calls coming in regardless if you were up to date or late on payments, I just had them deactivate my number.Good luck!!
I have never had an account with these people. I called last week to ask why they were calling me and the guy couldn't even find me in his system. He told me he removed my number from their system and I still ended up getting another call yesterday.
Just got a call from this number asking to speak with a person whose name they pronounced inaccurately. Told them no such person at this number. Guy said he would take my number off his call list. My son does have an AES loan, but has never given out MY number to anyone. Coincidence? I think not.
I missed a call from 717 720-1500. I returned the call and they said they were Verizon and wanted permission to review my acct. I would not give them my account number and asked them why they called me. They did not answer except they wanted to review my account. I told them if they have my account then they could review it. They had no explaination so I told the I am reporting this number and hung up.
I just started receiving the calls from this number. I do not answer calls if your name and number are not stored in my phone. they will not leave a message.
Um, I paid off my student loans 25 years ago. I have no students now. I never lived in PA or went to school there. Sooooo, why d'ya think they are asking me for info and to pay up??Something smelly here!
I have been receiving several calls daily. I usually don't answer numbers I don't recognize. After so many calls, I had a bad feeling it was not just a random misdial. I googled it and voila. I do have a loan with AES and am concerned as to how my information was leaked. I know others are saying they don't have loans, but perhaps they are down as references. Someone should be able to trace them.
My loans are completely up to date (and have never been behind), but every two to three days since March of this year me and my co-signer get calls from AES because they want to verify our contact information. In May I started getting angry with them because they are asking to verify the same information over and over again. It's almost August and they continue to contact me and my co-signer several times a week. When I question them about why they are calling again, no one can give me a straight answer, and when I demand to speak to a supervisor they say that they put someone senior on the phone, but even this person is unable to see in their system how often or provide a reason as to why they continue to contact me. These are the most IDIOTIC and MORONIC people on the planet. You can certainly say that the people who work at American Education Service are by no means educated themselves.I am now in the process of contacting lawyers to address their harassing practices.
