This is not UHC, it is Optum Rx, their mail-order pharmacy. Optum knows what a pain their phone calls are to the customers, so they have a multitude of numbers they use so that you won't know it is them calling.

If they were legit the company name would come up on a reverse lookup using the phone number.

So? It's still a solicitation, and from the above comments, not all are already with their organization, so it's probably illegal if it's a robo call. And since there are some other comments about other things than healthcare, I'd guess it's a legit number being spoofed at some point, yet also making solicitation calls. Thus endeth the lecture.

If your credit score is low they probably toss the info. because they can't us it to open an account or get a loan in your name.

Remember that episode on Law and Order where the old man lost his house and tracked down the person who scammed him and got even. DON'T mess with old people, we don't get mad we get even!

They called three times in a row - a minute apart! My phone display said Minneapolis, MN. I don't answer any call where I don't recognize the number and they left no message. If a message isn't left, I know it is a scam, telemarketer or isn't important!

It is sad that we have all had to become so paranoid, this is a service that the employer offers to help those of us who have difficult health issues. If you do not want any help just tell them and they will leave you alone but stop trying to make everyone think they are stealing their identity. No I do not work for United Health Care I am just someone who benefits from their services.

THE INSURANCE COMPANIES.This information can be used to deny coverage currently or in the future, to raise premiums, and can make it much more difficult to get another insurance policy because all the information collected is shared with ... guess who??? THE OTHER INSURANCE COMPANIES.RUN --- do not walk --- away from this invasion of privacy and attack on your health and well-being!This can cost you far more in the long run than stealing your identity, when you are denied coverage or priced out of insurance, this can cause your DEATH.
