Called at 6:30 AM, woke us out of a sound sleep. Hung up before I answered. Caller ID shows OPTUM.

They called me, I wasn't home, they didn't leave a message. All usual. The thing is, I don't have UHC, so I have no idea why they would be calling me. I am anticipating a surgery in the near future, but it hasn't been scheduled yet, and as I said, I DON'T HAVE UHC!! I've also received calls in the past (tho maybe not from this number) offering me assistance with chronic health problems. Here's the thing: my chronic problems are nothing I can avoid, and they can't help me do anything about it. What concerns me is, if I have to change insurance companies, what is going to come back and bite me as a "pre-existing condition"? I'd rather NOT give my history to anyone who can put it into a permanent record that might keep me from getting help in the future.

The male said he was from AARP. Pitching a phony prescription discount card. Discontinued call after he asked me to confirm my address. Scammer!!

I have received several calls from this number at different stages in my pregnancy. It is a registered nurse with United Health Care assigned to me as part of my healthcare benefits. In the event that I'm not able to answer, she's always left a voicemail with her direct telephone number for contact. It is always the same nurse who simply checks in with me regarding my regular prenatal appointments and to answer any questions I may have regarding my pregnancy, labor and delivery, etc and to provide me with additional resources or tools that I may need in the meantime.

Keep getting calls from this number. Says she is Nancy, a registered nurse with UHC. She wants my personal information. I asked to stop calling and she says she must have my personal info to be able to stop the calls. I called UHC at the number I have and they say they don't know who this is and NOT TO GIVE THEM ANYTHING!THIS IS [***]! I have my personal Doctor who I see regularly. I did not ask for this "to my knowledge".

Caller Id was (763) 274-3899 "United Healthca" the call back number left on my answering machine was 888-866-8295 "Joann". The wanted my name and Date of Birth (DOB) , sounds like a scam, they can steal your identity with a name and DOB by cross reference to other data bases using name date of birth and phone number (it's easy to do, I'm a computer programmer), they can open bank accounts take out loans and open charge accounts. NEVER GIVE OUT PERSONAL INFORMATION TO A PERSON MAKING A "COLD CALL"! I do have United Health Care insurance but I could not verify either number as belonging to United Health Care, "United Healthca" must stand for "United Health Carpetbaggers". (763) 274-3899 is an unlisted number and 888-866-8295 is listed in a few websites (probably all bogus). I never knew RNs worked in boiler rooms. lol

This is UHC. I called them earlier (not this same #) to order 2 additional cards. The same representative that I spoke with called back and left a message for me saying they were placing the order for the two additional cards and they were making a note in my file of doing so. It appears legit but may not receive incoming calls if they typically use it for outgoing only. Call the number on the back of your card instead. And when you are talking with them, they will verify information such as DOB and address.

Really? It's still a nuisance call. You thing they're calling because they like you? Or maybe this person is working on a Boy Scout merit badge for Good Deeds. They have an agenda – they're making money somehow with these calls. Get real.

It's a big con game, they are even posting here saying it's legit.

This is not UHC, it is Optum Rx, their mail-order pharmacy. Optum knows what a pain their phone calls are to the customers, so they have a multitude of numbers they use so that you won't know it is them calling.
