I too received a vm yesterday and returned the call to see what this Civil and Federal suit was about. They asked me to verify that I was who I was with the last 4 digits of my social...and I did. I know it was dumb but they would not give me anything. They are Claims America at 2055C 349 Scenic Highway North, Snellville Georgia 30078 (or so they say) and referenced a case number, that I owed $4,253 that they are not a collection agency but that Investigator Vincent Skylar was working with Attorney Robert Goldstein and Chase Manhattan. I was being sued and leins on property I have or may possess in the future, garnish of wages and IRS inquiry if they serve me in the next 14 days and if we go to court it would be in the thousands and thousands of dollars but could settle right now. When I told him that this was all included in a bankruptsy back in 1990, he said that it didn't matter because I was paying small amounts at the time and that I wasn't in default and the Chase could opt out of the bankruptsy. (not) Vincent was very rude and throwing legal language as quick as they come and I kept slowing him down so I could write it down and when I told him that for all I knew he could be a fraudulent outfit, he really got irritated. I then was transferred to the good guy, Settlement Director of Operations, Hans Gould at ext. 109. He calmed me down and said he had the authority to lower the amount to $812 but that I had to pay tonight by 8:30 and that I could even spread the payment over 4 months...Credit card or debit card would suffice. I told him I had to borrow the money from family and I would get back to him. I never did but reported it to the GA police, the DE police, my bank and the credit agencies. When nothing googled for Claims America and all of this came up googling their phone number, I was relieved to know they are a fraud. thank you for your postings. Throughout the entire call though, I was terrified which is what they wanted. I hope they call back now because I have a few choice things to say to them now.

hey "BILL", you are a real piece of work. We're supposed to accept the fact that you low rent, dropout con artists are somehow a legitimate debt collection agency, and you can't even spell the word 'right' correctly? Your feeble defense of your illegal actions is ludicrous and downright pathetic. We're supposed to have empathy, for you when you call people up and threaten to send the police to their homes if they don't pay your organization money on an old debt that you bought for pennies on the dollar? Would a real debt collection agency continue to return to these forums to defend themselves if they knew they weren't doing anything illegal? You are getting more nervous, and you should be. You have pissed off the wrong group of people who are on the case and who know more about you and where you are than you would care to admit. You are also exceedingly stupid, because you are leaving such a noticeable and copious trail of evidence. I am sure that enough people fall for your bllsht line over the phone, that you do get to make some money, but your greed and your stupidity will be your downfall. Criminals in general never seem to learn this lesson about the quick and easy buck.Keep it up, Lamont, or Reggie, or 'Investigator Clark' or whoever the hell you are. You are low class scum. You are degenerates and liars who will get caught soon enough and every day you try and rip people off is just another enemy you will have made.

Wow, you managed to get three noble attempts in one follow up, Lamond or Reggie or 'Ms Clark'. You are fooling NO ONE. We are not falling for it, and think about this; you are reduced to trying to defend your illegal attempts at collecting on old debts that are closed on an 800 number website. You cannot prove your company exists, you cannot produce the documents of the old bank or credit card agreements, you cannot notify your 'clients' by calling them directly, or by mail, as you called my parents first which tells me you know jack sht about operating as a legitimate debt agency or even trying to.Now let's have a little challenge, shall we? I want you, Lamond or Reggie or which ever low class scumbag I am writing to try and defend my grandmother getting a call from this very number telling her she will go to jail if she doesn't pay an old, charged off 16 year old debt?Go ahead and try to garner some sympathy here for doing such a thing. I would love to see that ten watt brain of yours attempt this. It's not like stealing rims, mind you. So I will gladly await and see your response, mmmkay kids?I know what you'll say, you'll deny that anyone from your dime store criminal operation would ever do such a thing, but we already have you on tape, with the called ID to boot. The more you post, the clearer it becomes, and dumb azz, did it EVER occur to you that all these web posts sites are going to be used against you too?Does the term "IP address" mean anything to you baseheads?

Any idiot convicts record can be accessed, you moron. I guess you don't like people knowing who you really are but given your criminal past it's not that hard to find you. The cops in Buffalo know, so do the cops in Georgia. They already know who you are, don't you get it? They know what you are doing, and they know what you are doing is illegal. It's called committing a crime, and you are guilty, and with a little time you will get caught you jerk. Karma is a [***], and when you are back in a cell pondering your poor choices in life that led you back to prison, you might recall this time period.Maybe then you might learn, but judging from your hilariously lame defensive postings here, probably not.

I got a call tonight 10/22/07 from my father. He said my mother who lives in Oklahoma got a call from these people wanting me to call them. I tried but it was to late they had already closed for the day. I plan on calling them and seeing what they have to say so that they can be recorded and sent to the Attorney General's office so maybe then they can try to do something about these people.

Ethernet, don't be too hard on these idiots. They really aren't that smart as you clearly have demonstrated. They amuse me more than anything, so I almost enjoy witnessing their silly postings here.
