Wanted me to turn on my computer , when I told him it was on, he asked me what it says, I told him it said he was a dumbass & he hung up !

4/27/2018 Received call from 1-800-102-1100 Tony Berth representing Microsoft Windows saying that someone was accessing my computer and stealing my information. Very thick accent. Refused access - and Tony gave me his ID number: 9857ME19. Of course, I called back and no such number. I told Mr. Berth that they had called before that I was familiar with their scam. He was rude - and felt it definitely was a scam and hung up.

said they were from Microsoft and my computer had been infected, and they could help me fix it. I said this is a scam and he hung on me.

Got call from this number tonight, person said his name was Rex and he was calling from Microsoft iCloud Services. He knew my email and name, he said they are getting errors from my email and needed me to turn on my computer. I asked him to explain what data while my computer was turning on (it was already on but never provided access or personal information). He said it would take time and then hung up. 2 min research and found same results that this was fraud call. They didn't get me, hope they don't get anyone.

got call from this number saying my windows was not up dating nothing wrong with then sense they cannot put fake virus in they started on the windows

Got a call from a guy that said my machine was infected with the Alureon virus and he was giving me steps on how to fix it and and I should boot my computer and run the commands he suggested. I told him I was busy and to give me the steps. He's somehow got my name and number but obviously not access to my computer.. this is social engineering .. anyways a Scam..

Getting calls several times a day. When i call the number i get a message saying the number is not in service. This isnt the only number they use to call me from. Also i have answered my phone a few times and an agent tells me they want to provide service to my compute. The agents i have spoken to have a strong foreign accent and it really angers me when they tell me their name... Kevin, Mike, Steve.. Really?!? I get so frustrated they are relentless! if you dont answer they keep calling, and if you call back the number is no longer in servive, and when i have answered they usually end up hanging up on me first for reasons I cant repeat.

To prove that the call was legitimate, the caller with heavy Indian accent gave me a number which he said was my computer registration number. He would help me find the number if I turned on my computer. I refused to do that. He did not know my operating system. He also made threats to disable my computer to keep the "virus" from spreading.

Rex? Now thats original. I have spoken to “Kevin” “Mike” and “Steve” with such strong foreign accents. But Rex? Hah. These oeople are relentless and must be stopped!
