I didn't pick up the phone when this call came in. They didn't leave a voice mail so I called back and got the message "We're sorry but this number cannot be completed as dialed". This is a scam.
I get calls three or four times a day from 800-102-1100. When I answer I get no response.I do not answer their calls any more, but I just lift and replace the receiver (home phone). At least that stops the ringing.I don't want to pay for Blocked Caller service from my carrier, but that might stop them.
Caller said he was micheal thompson calling from Microsoft technical department in the state of Washington. He had a very thick Indian accent. I told him I was a computer tech and there weren't issues with my computer and that he was trying to scam me. He then called me a dumb-head and changed the direction of the call trying to get me to run a command, etc., because all my computers were sending messages to microsoft with issues that were not a virus and without doing what he told me that it wouldn't run correctly. I told him if he was legit that he'd need to give me a call back number, which he did. The scary thing is he did have my name and address in which he asked if it were me. So somewhere there was a hack of information along the way.
Microsoft scam that has been going on for years. I let the crook go through his pitch and then I tell him I have an apple computer that doesn't use windows. that really pisses the guy off for sure !
I have gotten several calls from this number with no messages. Today, the first time they wanted me to turn my computer on. They hung up after a bit when I said that it was on and what I saw was their number on the screen. The next time, they guy said he was from my bank. He came back on, and I asked which bank he was from and he hung up. Unable to call back.
I received a call from 800 102 1100. They claim to be the Microsoft Dept., but I run IOS and not Microsoft. lol
I receive 3-5 calls a day from many different numbers all of which are the same people with the same message about my computer sending them error messages. They are a SCAM!!! Whatever you do, DO NOT follow their instruction to let them remote access your computer. I did with an old PC that was on its way out already, but I swear they installed viruses and probably monitoring software. DON'T LET THEM ON YOUR COMPUTER
Extremely persistent that he is employed by Microsoft security. Says it will block my Microsoft license and none of my computers will work after 30 minutes. Says he is from Windows Technical Department.
