Claimed to be Comcast calling about an account that I closed 3 years ago. Wanted verbal permission to change an e-mail address associated with my closed account. Told them No. I have no authority to give any permission on an account I no longer have. Told them to send me something in writing, they said okay but didn't ask for an address.
Someone left a sorry-we-missed you slip on my gate with Comcast's name to "repair/replace vault/pedestal." The slip has a phone # for their "contractor" and the 800 number that is being commented upon on this site as the Comcast number. Just one problem: I DO NOT HAVE SERVICE WITH COMCAST! I have not received any notice about a problem requiring access to my property. And 'm pretty sure any work they'd need to do would be handled on the property of person with an account. I never dial numbers provided this way--with a slip that looks official. Too easy to be a scam. I looked up the Comcast phone number and asked about it. Person on phone said to "ignore it, they have wrong address, don't worry about it." Stuff like this makes me so angry that I may report it to law enforcement.

Shoplc. I don’t mind them calling if I have a problem but they called me 3 times in past 3 days to fill out survey they emailed. If I wanted to fill it out, I would have, I don’t need calls, plus I did fill one out but am still getting calls.

Got a letter that said I applied for an AMAZON card. Called the number to inquire what this was for, they started asking for personal information. When I said no they hung up on me.

Scam debit collector. I say 'scam' because I don't have a credit card, loan, lease, tuition, or debit or any kind. I own my home, vehicle, and everything in them. There's not a single reason for a debit collector to be calling me.
