Although the number (800-266-2278) does match the listed customer service number on the Comcast website, I am not convinced that it is actually them calling. I have only been a customer for 2 weeks and have received more than 10 calls. They never leave a message and always call me before 7:30 am and after 5:00 pm. I have officially reported the abuse online with Comcast directly, so I guess I'll see what they say and how they handle it. I am convinced however that it is NOT the Collection department, because it plainly says online that it is customer service and because I have received the calls like everyone else and collection is not an option. Anyway, we are all on this forum to help one another so thanks to those of you with helpful information and kind feedback.

I called this missed call number and it is Comcast, but I have never been able to make a payment over the phone. Theu have the most screwed up voice recognition system in the world! Comcast, get it together!!!!!!!

It is comcast. They call for a variety of reasons. Late on your payment, scheduling etc.

This is such a hilarious string of comments. This number has called me 3 days in a row at 9:00am and when I answer I hear beeping like a fax machine. Not sure what to do since my comcast alerts are sent to email only. Hope it stops soon, or I can find a live person to vent at.

its comcast. They called me because I my bill is 2 months late. I never answer 800 numbers. but at least I did pay my bill a few hours earlier. Normally, i never get a call from this number on my att cell. Only when my bill is really late. Its like those Repo shows. People don't pay thier car loan bills, and then freak out when the bank wants thier proptery back. Umm, pay your bill or don't own/use it. Stupid people

It's Comcast - left a message about impending storm (hurricane Sandy). Was identified as "Unavailable" but man/recording said was calling from "1-800-COMCAST" and an address in Philadelphia.
