This people are EXCELLENT. I received a call at 8:00AM telling me that the package I expected would be here between 08:00AM and 10:30AM and it arrived at 09:30. Great!!
This is a scam locator service. They are trying to confirm if you are there or live there. It's a collection agency masking as Fedex. Never talk to them. When you call an 800 number back, they automatically get your number, call back from a payphone. Report each call to DONOTCALL.gov. Always send out a debt validation letter to all collection agencies, never ever talk to one of them over a telephone. EVER! No matter how angry you are, never talk to them over a telephone nor admit anything NOR confirm who you are, who lives there, etc. Never give out any information to any collector via a telephone. EVER. budhibbs.com
Just to let you know there is another scam going around, this is how it went at our home today AT OUR HOUSE – April l18th, 20181. My husband (A) received a call on House line, say it is Fed Ex, asking for me, for a parcel to be delivered2. He said I was not in, someone is home till 5pm, he gave them my cell phone as he was not sure I was expecting anything3. I received a call, dead silence, did not recognize the number, hung up4. 1 minute later, a call came again this time from our home line, I thought it was my husband, however the man in excellent English identified himself as North Vancouver Police5. Stated they have my husband in Custody, he has been arrested6. I said, not possible I just spoke to him, he asked from what number, I said never mind7. I asked to speak to Desk Sargent _______ ________ (whom I know)8. Told not possible, my husband is in front of him and has been arrested9. I said it is not true this is a scam and just when about to hang up, heard a voice with an East Indian Accent.10. I was in North Vancouver so went into the RCMP, they advised they have had several calls onthis already today and yest it is a scam.
I just got a FedEx delivery here at my office 4 minutes ago. Then, 30 seconds after the delivery gal left, I got this call - it was a real woman on the phone, not a robo-voice - calling to ask if I got the package, since the delivery woman had trouble finding my address before she got here. However, since I looked up the number on this website before I answered the phone, I knew it was FedEx calling when I answered. This is a very useful website...
I can confirm that this number is indeed Fed-Ex. I ship things daily at my office and use the same number to have them come pick up packages at the office.
So that other people who look this number up will know who's calling. You know how this website works, right? You look up and/or provide information about numbers.
Did anything come about on this? The same thing happened to me today.
It's FedEx calling to let you know that you have a package that must be signed. It's an automated message.
In the automated message, the correct tracking # was reported in the call so it was legit.
Same here, someone called saying they had a package for me. I never got anything. I called FEDEX right away to track such package and they told me they had nothing for me. This looks like a phishing scam.Very strange....FEDEX should look into this and pay real GOOD ATTENTION!!
