They are calling to let you know that a package will be delivered by a certain time. They do this for business customers. Since I was not aware of a package coming I had no tracking info for them to look up. But the gal was able to look it up by the address and tell me the time of arrival. Someone else had ordered an item.
The CallerID is controlled by your local exchange (LEC). Trust me, we would really like for it to display "FedEx" on our automated notifications for all regions. We have tried to work with AT&T to get this pushed out to all of the baby bells over the years. As others have stated, we use 8004633339 (800GOFEDEX) for our automated delivery notifications, but it's also used for outgoing calls from call centers, most FedEx Office locations, Sales, etc...
I do not believe that this is Fed Ex. I have received 4 calls to my work number in the last 10 min. They never leave a voicemail.
i got a call at 8 am telling me a tracking number for a package i didn't order, i didn't have enough time to record the tracking number but i called fedex to see if there was a package and the lady told me no. i would appreciate you not blowing up my phone at 8am when i have little children who hardly sleep as it is, for literally no reason. how did you even get my number when this is a new house phone and i only ever get stuff delivered from UPS
The shipper provides the recipient phone number, we don't make it up :)
This was a call from the automated system at Federal Express. (I think they should put that in Caller ID, not just some name that I would never recognize.) They wanted to tell me that my package may arrive tomorrow and that I will need to be here so I can sign for it.
this number just called me, but i didn't pick up because caller ID said "unknown." appeared to be a legit FedEx person asking how they could help me to use my acct. i have no pending shipments. strange marketing call, but he gave me a number to call back if i was suspicious. it's unfortunate that the crooks have made every call a suspicious one these days. they really didn't have any info to help me, and i was cautious not to give any personal info, just in case. odd. category call type as unknown, because you don't have a choice marked "marketing."
Unsure if this is a legit number or not, they call 3-4 times a week asking for our AP dept. When I tell them I will take a message and have someone return their call, they say they will call back later.
Didn't leave a message. Not that I wanted one.
Got a call today , said they tried to deliver a package but I had moved. Asked where the package was coming from. The women said a company that I used to work for and presently have some legal issues with. Sounded legit. How would they know the company I used to work for

No message ! Just annoying calls.
Legit. Called to inform me the fire alarm went off at a family member's home.
I had two calls yesterday. Nothing came up but there number. Didn't answer. Have blocked the number.
Calls and hangs up without a message.
They do not leave a message, so I will NOT answer the call or any other no-message calls.
This is a lovely woman, who is kind and compassionate. You should definitely take this call. She will help you if you are the one she is calling for.
This is a secret shopper call. Making a simple process hard for customer service agents. They cause you to lose your job. I wish Citibank would do things differently. Thinking about not doing business with them.
-.- i dont even want a phone with how many scams are out there. can phone companies respond in kind and eliminate these schemes?
