Caller purportedly needing to clarify info on recent application for Medicare. Leaves call back # 877-593-3955,ext:65941. When number called, you are sent to voicemail. They don't call back. Tried to verify #'s with SS Administration, but it's an hour wait time, so awaiting response from email inquiry . Comments on both #'s run 50/50 true or scam, so if SS gives reply, I'll post.

Received a call yesterday from this number. It appeared as "unavailable," therefore I did not answer it and no message was left. I agree with many of the above callers that this is most likely a scam spoofing the SSA number.

I received two missed call from 1800-772-1213. They called twice within 10 minutes, because I did not apply anything with SSA, I am assuming this is a scam

Update to my message above...yesterday's call was a return call to us from the SSA, which I didn't realize was placed and answered by another family member. Be sure you are answering the "800" form of this number, NOT "888," as another caller mentioned above.

Get so many marketing and scam calls I just don't answer my phone unless I have them in my address list. I didn't on this one. Also, I can only block so many calls on my phone and I am at my limit now. I just want these calls to stop.

This is the Social Security Admin number. They called me back because I didn't want to be on hold for 28 minutes..... They need to change the ID from Toll Free Caller to something relevant.800NOTES needs to add a call type!!!!

Supposedly left a message but there wasn't anything there when I tried to listen. I suspect this is scam as I'm not about to discuss my Private info over the phone with unknown caller

It might be SSA's number, but Cornholio Recovery is spoofing again. What a bunch of a--holes This should give everyone who ever dealt with Portfolio Recovery an idea of how dishonest they really are!
