this is not a scam. My bill is running late and if it were a scam, would they give you the option of accessing your account online? Be Real!

Maybe you have had cingular in the past and not paid your bill!! A relative may have given them your number or a girlfriend or ex-girlfriend. It is AT&T!!!! I have had their service for 10 years, since they were Cingular. Get a grip!! Call the number and find out for yourself! Of course they would say that they don't know why they called you if you don't have their service. Don't be dumb!

AT&T owns Cingular

I have received five calls from this number in the last six days. I have not had AT&T cellular service for all most 1.5 years. I have a receipt from AT&T when I cancelled my service that shoes my final account balance being 0$. I picked up the phone to answer this call three days ago and jotted down the number from the automated message. I called the number and spoke to a representative from AT&T. They show my account balance due of 0$ and said that sometimes this number is used to get people to call AT&T to try and get old customers to come back. I asked to be removed from future correspondance. They did not want to comply because I refused to give them my home address, email address or home telephone number. I explained to the lady that I was currently not receiving any annoying calls or mail at those locations and was NOT about to provide that information only to turn around and be harrassed through those methods. She could clearly see that I was calling from the phone number they had on record and all I wanted was for the calls to stop. Additionally, I notified them that my phone number was registered with the Indiana do not call list and I would be filing a complaint with the Indiana Attorney General for violating the Indiana state law protecting my privacy from telemarketing harrassment. The person got their manager, "removed" my number from their contact list and here we are three days later and I received another call...GOOD GRACIOUS!!!

It's Cingular calling about a late payment. Said I need to pay my bill (I am a little late) or my service will be disconnected. Had to give them my credit card info. Once they start calling they call non-stop. The earlier you answer the faster they stop :)

I had a call from them today, and the voicemail was cut off so I didn't hear it all, but it seems that this number is tied to Cingular. I made a payment online today, as I was a little late on my payment this month. Hopefully they don't bother me again.

They called today, the message was cut off, but I am not and never was an Cingular / AT&T customer, so this sounds like a scam to me...

I got a call from them 8-21-07, did not answer and they did not leave a voice message, however, I also am not and never have been a Cingular/AT&T customer.

A call back says youve reached ATT. I smell scam. This is either a poorly thought out marketing campaign or an outright scam. I am not a cingular or Att customer. I used ATT in the distant past and they were horrible in value and customer service! Look like nothing has changed.
