I am receiving calls from this number and the recording is laughing that I am selling my home. This is a wrong practice for collections

Have had them for years they never apply the late fees you pay to late fees and call all the time

Has call 82 million times!

I fell behind on my second mortgage. Originally SPS called to talk about fixing the problem, but then they decided I made to much money. I am a disabled Vet and a Senior, but that cut no ice with them. Now I get 2-3 calls a day, 6 days a week, from several numbers. Last time I talked to the agent, and told her I was keeping track of all their calls, and was going to sue them under Federal Law for harassment. Will be interesting to see if the calls continue after the Holidays.

You have to be firm with them. It took them two months to get the right social security number associated with our account straightened out (and they only did it after we insisted they pull the original mortgage paperwork associated with the sale of our note and look it up). Then, days later, we received a notice from them that our mortgage payment was going up several hundred dollars (they had overestimated the amount of our taxes and insurance in escrow by thousands of dollars)--and when we called and questioned it, we were treated rather rudely. Fortunately, we were able to get hold of someone who was helpful and had us fax the documents proving their information was wrong. Days ago we received a corrected statement. Stand your ground and don't let them run over you!

Your mortgage was not sold to them they are not a mortgage company- Chase still owns your mortgage but SPS is servicing the mortgage for Chase - so basically SPS is doing the collecting for Chase.

That is select porfolio servicing.If you have a call from this number, you must have the delinquent loan from that company like me.

It's Select Portfolio Servicing. They hold out mortgage and like others here, I pay closer to the end of the payment window. I ignore their calls

I am in the same place. I made on time payments 8 years straight. They told me they couldn't make any adjustments because they only serviced the loan. I would have to call US Bank for any changes in payment. They told me the exact same thing. Now that I am going through a hardship, they are willing to help. They don't seem to know why someone told me that previously.
