You can stop calling! You are being reported. We have an unlisted number and are registered on the Do Not Call list!!
Saw the number was from Ogden UT and let the call go to VM. The woman who left the message asked for Becky and had questions about a Schedule B she (Becky) had filed. Has anyone else had their number mistaken for Becky''s? Has anyone else from Oregon received a call in the last few days (could be a robodialer)?
Well that's not true.I got a call from that number saying they were my tax advocate.and left a 702 number to call them back.
I am receiving a call form 801-612-1816 from a broad claiming to be an IRS agent (has even left messages) and gives the name Eleanor Molina and asks for a return call at 559-488-6077. She wants a copy of the corrected W2 that belongs to a 1040X for the year 2011. I have reported this incident to the FTC on March 26, 2015. Don't let these [***] get away with anything. For the record, I am a tax account - the IRS does not call - EVER
It is the IRS. I am working on a client's audit & they had the client's name & private info. This is the 801 #.Be careful who you block.
My business got call this morning from this number, claiming to be from the IRS, he ask about me and want me to call back, he left his number 559-443-7644, I did call back but the number doesn't exist,
I received a call (attempt, I didn't hear it ring and missed answering it) today (4/13/15) from this #801 605 1816 I tried calling the number back, the recording stated that I had reached the IRS. That if I was trying to reach someone from the IRS please refer to the correspondence received in the mail and call that number. I have not received any such coorespondance. No call back number was left in the message, only caller ID made it possible to call back.I feel it wasn't a scam, however it is an unknown right now.
It's surprising how ignorant and ill-informed some individuals truly are. The IRS does make calls. They just do not ask for money or personal information they already have or threaten you with enforcement actions. There are several departments within the IRS, all over the country that place outgoing calls when attempting to aid taxpayers. Whether from harming themselves or from the tax preparers who they pay. If you are still uncertain, even after being given a Name and Badge number. Look it up on the Freedom of Information Act...... All our information is listed there.
Look on the IRS website, we do not call you and ask for information! We send letters asking you to call us. I'm not sure why some of the bozos here are saying the IRS is making outgoing calls but they are wrong. We don't even have the funds to man our call centers for incoming calls.
