This is confirmed as the Code Red Hot line. They did not leave a message & called 4 times in a row yesterday April 2nd, starting at 7:17 PM then at 7:23 PM, 7:24 PM & finally at 7:26 PM. The number shows up as ECN Community. I'm not sure where the other person got North Penn Water from because all 4 calls showed up from ECN Community.I called the number back today to check it & got a recording confirming it was a Code Red Alert call from the local Police Station. They were searching for a local man in the area who had dementia.This is a very important call to answer! Not sure why it doesn't say Code Red instead of ECN Community but there you go.
Yes it is a scam. Some of these posts are scammers or they don't know. Said I need to renew my Medicaid and I never applied.
The number belongs to a call center. Many companies have access to it. The person ( or computer) calling you could be calling from the water authority or from cactus of the month club, it really doesn't matter. I got 2 calls from the number last week. I'm in NC not PA and my community has it's own emergency call system, not one that is contracted out.

Answered on third call and while reading this list and seeing "red code" reference. It was an announcement confirming a local radio message that power would be cut off for a period due to wildfire in the area. At least this time it was a significant public service.

It is a legit PNC Bank phone no. I wrote out a $12000. check and they called to verify and had the last 3 digits of checking acct. on message.
