I just got this on my cell phone and of course I knew it was a scam, so I asked him for the name of the person he was trying to reach, he said you. I said no the actual name and he then said YOU STUPID..I said really calling me stupid, but i'm not falling for your scam and hung up. Blocked the number.
I had an indian man tell me he was calling about my computer. He said he was with Windows. I said Nice try I know its a scam and he argued with me. I then told him I don't own a computer and he said yes you do and you will never use it again
I got the call from this number but it said China and looked like this - +86 (0) 540-6999. They called my daughter's cell phone and then mine. Neither of us answered. Anyone else get China?
This number called my spouse's cell. Caller ID stated "Bristol, CT." We missed the call. Poor caller.
female with a Chinese accent, I could barely understand her. after listening for a whileI told her what she was doing was a crime and a scam and the she was a criminal. she told me I was an old man, jobless, and that I should go to bed, Well, I was home sick from a great job and my laryngitis made me sound much older than 61. surprisingly she stayed on the line quite a while. must be a sweat shop call center in China. you think the FBI or somebody could block their criminal internet link into the U.S. that they use to bot-call.
I received this call # 8605406999 today on my cell and received a call yesterday, most likely the same clown. I live in Colorado, my brother lives back in the Midwest, and he informed me that he got a call form a guy with an Indian accent, said his name was Chris. My brother played along for awhile saying oh, really when mentioned a problem w/ his computer, so what should I do. So brother let "Chris" ramble on w/ his spew, then ripped into him w/ some choice wording. Said he had fun for a few minutes. Sorry I missed my call, I'll look for it, in fact I'll save it under the name Jackwagon dumb [***].
Individual called saying they were from Geek Support/Windows and that my computer had a virus. Go a similar call weeks ago claiming they were Windows Support. The had my computer chip serial # and tried to convince me to go to a website and download a program so they could fix remove a computer worm virus. I ended the call when they could not/would not provide any ID verification.
