So it's Thanksgiving Day and my dad gets a call on his cell phone. Guy with Indian accent says, "Hello, I'm calling about your computer". My mom grabbed the phone and told him my dad didn't have a computer. He proceeded to ask if anyone else at home had a computer. She said no and he hung up.

Got a call from this goofball today & he's telling me (as fast as he can get through his spiel) that my computer has been sending them error messages for the last two days. I stopped his speech with some difficulty as he wasn't interested in anything I had to say, to let him know my laptop has been in its bag for the last 6-9 months, hasn't been powered up (use tablet only) so unless the 2 new kittens I brought home Saturday have been on my laptop watching kitty porn or trying to order a bulk shipment of catnip & tuna treats, he's a scammer & I had nothing to say to him. He got ALL upset & told me not to be rude, which just made me laugh and hang up on him.I wonder if he's in league with the guy from Jamaica that called me yesterday saying I won $3.3 million dollars & would I be on hand to sign for a certified check claiming my money, today only? Wow!!! 3.3 million buckaroos!! Said no thanks & hung up that goober too....

Man with heavy Indian accent called saying they were from the help-desk and they detected a virus on my computer. I played along. He instructed me to enter an IP address and then an access code into my computer, which I of course didn't do but convinced him I did. When he couldn't access my computer remotely, he got angry, called me a liar and hung up. They obviously are looking for idiots to give over access to their computers, at which point who knows what bad things they had planned.

Called from this number a few times the past few months. i block, but i must be doing it wrong cause they keep getting thru. If i remember next time they call they're in for a big surprise, hope their ears bleed!!!

Heavy Indian accent, call from Bristol, CT. I couldn't understand her at first and assumed it was a wrong number and she became very flustered, yet never identified me by name. Claimed she was from Microsoft Customer Service and that I had a notification on my computer that needed resolving. I told her I was at work and she asked me when she could follow up. I told her that I didn't need any help with any technical problems and that my computer was working fine and that if I had any problems I would be sure to contact Microsoft on their website. She became more frustrated and tried to explain that this needed to be resolved now. She was angry to the point where she couldn't form sentences. So I told her "I don't care" and hung up, to the amusement of my coworkers.She never identified herself by name, asked to confirm my name, or said "this call will be recorded for customer service purposes" so I assume it was a spam. Regardless, she was an [***].

I had the same phone call said they were from best buy geek squad. does this mean best buy was hacked and personal information was compromised...???

Just got this call in my car. The guy told me the same story...works for Microsoft, etc, etc, etc. I told him I could not use the computer will driving and he hung up. Received a call from this number, he stated he was called from Windows technical department about my windows computer. I stated I do not have a windows computer and he hung up. It was a male. I recognized the area code to be CT.
