Calls very often, leaves no message.

got one on my cell this am and at home later today ,I don't know how the got my home no since it is unlisted ,they said they were from Geek Support ,I hung up some tyo\pe of scam.

Really low-effort hack attempt.They called me and told me my firewall and internet security. I played along and they had to bring up the Run Command window (after I got the indian-accented fellow to think I had a PC). He gave me an input to type in at which point I told him to FOD by jumping off a bridge, etc. He calmly called said, "I am not a motherf***er. You are son of [***]." He then hung up.

I don't answer any number I don't recognize. This number called last week, saw this website and all the comments, so I added the number to my address book, and for it to ALWAYS go to voice mail. That's the best I've got on this phone to avoid calls I don't want. So, they just keep calling, and it keeps going to voice mail. They never leave a message. I don't even know they have called unless I look at the phone list of calls, then I see that they've tried yet again. Wish cellphone manufacturers would get smarter and give an option to reject calls from certain numbers, or maybe forward to the police department! ;) Are people still stupid enough to give their personal information to just anyone who calls?

The caller told me that he was a computer technician & that he was receiving notices that my computer was having trouble that I should turn off my computer and he would walk me through fixing it. When I told him I didn't have a computer he hung up.

Yea ,,,, same Here,,,,called back ,, number is disconnected ,, I would list this as a Scam.

Similar to the other comments listed, an Indian sounding man claimed to be with Geek Squad and claimed that he 'had been receiving messages from my computer for 2 weeks'. Any computer I have at home with MY phone number registered to it has not been turned on in MONTHS so I told him that if I have any problems I would call back. I knew this was a scam almost immediately so I wasn't about to give him any personal info.

I received a call from a man with a heavy indian accent, but yet a very white sounding name upon introduction (a huge red flag). He told me I had downloaded something illegally on my computer. As soon as I told him his company is a scam, he hung up.
