Picked up with a silence/a lot of static. When someone finally spoke they told me they had been notified of spyware on my computer and that I'd need to go to my computer immediately to take care of it. I demanded to know who they were with... They told me Geek Squad. Right then I knew it was bs... So I hung up on them. Scammers... Don't pick up.
This was a call from a scammer. He tried to get me to run a program on my PC.DON'T DO IT.They are trying to install malware (remote control software) and then hold your computer ransom.This is a well-known and despicable scam.
Called about 24 hours apart for the last three days. I have never picked up as I regularly check sites like this one to see who is calling me from a number I don't know. There are way too many scam artists working the phones these days.
This person calls saying it has to do with my computer and I just hang up. sounds like a hacker to me
I played along for a minute or two. They want you to log onto your computer and give them information. Told them they are a scam and guy wanted to argue. I hung up and blocked the number.

***This is a SCAM*** you have marketing material on the web, adds for selling an item or services, and the caller infers you have a computer-- and as such thinks you can have a computer virus.The person that called me had a real strong accent, it sounded eastern european (like baltic states/russian). I thought it'd be funny to speak back in an accent and got the caller to start cursing at me out of frustration. Hee hee!Do not provide any info about yourself or your computer system to the caller.If you want to "get back" at them just waste their time over the phone as you will not be able to call them back.

Called and asked me to return call about a musical instrument that must be returned immediately. Got my name wrong as well. Scammers.

Sent an email trying to encourage people to call Bank of America at this number. As phishing attempt go, this one was better than most. I can smell these things a mile away.
