IF YOU REALLY WANT TO DISRUPT A SCAMMER DO THE FOLLOWINGTake 30-60 minutes out of your day, play along, get them thinking you fell for it, play into it, let them get their hopes up that they are getting paid, and when you simply cant take anymore let them know you arent stupid, you didnt fall for their trick, that they are theifs and liars, and that you just wasted an hour of their time. This is an hour that they cannot spend screwing someone else!

SCAM ALERT!!! SCAM ALERT!!!call from Hartford, CTLots of voices/calls in the background.Guy said that there was a security threat to my computer. Sounded like he was from India. Told me to get in front of my computer, and he would walk me through removing the security threats. I told him to please take me off the call list as I do not have a computer. He hung up on me.

I got a call from 1 860 9517532.He is a scammer. He siad he is calling about windows. He wanted me to connect with him. so that he can steel the information from my computer.

Just got a call from them saying that they have information about my computer that runs on windows. Every time I tried to say something the woman with an accent would interrupt me. I told her that I don't own a computer and without apology, she abruptly hung up. These people are starting to really piss me off.

FRAUDULENT CALLER: claimed to be "E-support" and that my computer was infected with viruses. This caller is fraudulent.

Same virus scan that everyone else is describing. Man calling himself Daniel with the "Geek Squad".I pretended my desktop computer was downstairs and my landline corded phone upstairs. Let me go downstairs and boot up while I put you on hold (my phone has annoying generic hold music). First call he hung up after 5 min on hold. Called right back. I put on hold again with same excuse. Hung up after 2.5 min. I figured he had wised up. But NO, he called back 20 min later accusing me of hanging up on him? Told me to take my phone with me when i went to my computer. I said i could not and i didn't have a cell phone (I do). I finally said.... "Let me try to move my computer up to be next to my phone". I put him on hold. Then for the next 30 minutes i came back with regular updates.... I got the monitor upstairs..... now i've moved the tower..... now i am trying to attach cords..... i can't figure out how to attach cords.....now i have the cords attached......now i'm booting up....... At this point he was begging me not to put him on hold after every update. At that point.... "someone is knocking on my door, i have to go get it" and put on hold. he hung up after 30 min. Then called right back and i said "I don't know who you are, i haven't talked to anyone about my computer today" then he said "would you f## with me if i f### with you?" i hung up, and the answer to that question is "Yes". he called right back and i didn't answer.Maybe I saved some other less informed poor soul from their scam by keeping him on the phone for 30 minutes.I just hope he doesn't start calling me back at 5 am for revenge! Looking into call blocking now.

Indian (dot not feather) caller, advising me of "problems with my computer." This scam is getting stale, but I guess there are still fools out there who fall for it. Go figure.
