After reading ALL these post i come to a few conclutions. 1) There are no "progressive building" photos available.2) No one is EXCLAIMING on how great these cabins are (except the scammers).3) One driver flat out says its a scam with cheap low quality logs i presume.4) Owner of company that these logs "came from" says not his, dont know of this company...5) They can ship to anywhere for the same amount ($1800)???6) The only "positive" comments on this post are ALL DONE IN CAPS??? (think about it)7) They could put up a website for next to nothing if they wanted to but that would give some one means to track them down......8).............9).....should i go on???? ITS A SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi Elizabeth...I to took a chance on this deal back in 2007 and purchaed one of Dan Ryan's cabins. I ran across these replys by trying to find an email for him only to send him pictures of my completed project. The cabin was shipped to me down in Jewett, Tx back in 2007. They even helped me stack the logs into my barn. The cabin I chose was a 24 x 24 project that took me aprox 3 yrs to build mostly on weekends. It turned out quite well if I do say so myself. I am no carpenter and built the cabin totally by myself. I can show you, or anyone a picture who might want to see. It is a project I would probably never do again though, but it was a learning experiance. We use this cabin as a get away on our ranch, and a hunting cabin and my friends and family love it!!! I never had no problems with the deal with Dan, but was suspicious all the way. The coloring on my logs looked to be fairly new cuts and this made me think if these so called kits had been cut earlier for a resort that was going out of business they would probably be a bit weathered if these kits were laying around some where outside. I suspected and still do his operation might consist of a timber mill some where after all these years of seeing his ads in several states, but that is my opinion. As for as im concerned I got what I paid for and what he promised and happy with what I got. I also have to say these are not kits in any way, but only cut oak logs. You get so called plans of a sort that give simple instructions on a way to put these logs together and the rest is pretty much up to you. His email is evasive, and you would think he would advertise in cyber space of more detailed info and pictures of his so called log cabin kits. It would only enhance his business, but that is his business! If anyone has an email address I to would like to have it just to send him pictures of my finished project.
Larry,Would love to see the pictures. I am seriously considering this offer. I thought I might use the log kit to build a storage garage to accompany a finished cabin at some point. If research proves this to be a valid offer I just might purchase a couple of different kits. 1 Garage / 1 Home Concerns I have are the size of the logs, 4X8. All the cabins I've investigated recommend at LEAST 6x8 logs and living in the northeastern corner of Missouri 8x8 is what I've always leaned towards. R-Factor considerations. Yes, I understand most heat loss occurs through the ceiling & roof. Any information on this company and their product would be appreciated.work e-mail: shometax@marktwain.net / Home: JohnKChinn@Centurylink.netJohn
Would have been nice if you had posted pictures of your cabin and/or at the least posted information where we could contact these good people to perhaps give them our business.

What ever happened to being innocent until proven guilty. The problem with folks now a days is they want everything instantly. What is wrong with someone with an accent answering a business phone ? What is wrong with a business asking for an address to send you the information on their product, that you called about ? Not everyone`s business is on the world wide web. Perhaps it is a small business and doesn`t have the capibility of handling a large number of inquires. Come on Mr. Bob please think about what you are accusing someone of. Didn`t you say so yourself that there wasn`t any complaints reported to the BBB ? As far as I know it isn`t a crime to not return a phone call promptly, or to have a website. What happended to using the golden rules and loving your neighbor as yourself ?
Same Log Cabin ad is all over US from TX to MS to GA. I called 8705775757 and got no response, then got a return call from an Asian lady saying pretty much what the ad says. I also got out of her that she is in Springfield Missouri Route 1 box 213, but I was calling about the cabin ad in GA. So, she assumed I was calling about the one in Springfield, Missouri. There is some kind of scheme going on. She said a local builder ordered too many supplies and her husband was selling the kit without the roof. Of course they had no pictures but were trying to get my mailing address to send me more info. If you are moving and must sell as the ad states, then why not email a few pics with addtional info vs snail mail. She refused to give an email. She just wanted my mailing address. She also kept saying they are not a business. They like to put their ads in the Thrifty Nickel.
Thank you for standing up, to the bullies on this site. I hope you understand ....... I`m sure you do, our world is quickly changing and a man`s word doesn`t mean much today, to the marjority. I got a good chuckle out of your comment..... " pay more, we give up". I saw your ad for the first time, today in La. I plan to do exactly what you suggest, and start researching log cabins online, to see if this would be right for me. I already have ahalf a million questions, perhaps I`ll answer a few of them through my research. If I do decide this is for me I will be delighted to talk to the Asian lady and Mr.Dan.
Thank you for the note. When it sounds to good to be true... We wondered about this as well and you have confirmed our suspicions.
I read the same article in south Alabama (Feb 2011) and called for a packet of info. Basically, the same info that 'Adam' posted. An asian chick ansewred; i gave my address to send a packet. They dont have a web site or email. A friend of mine received the packet and the zip code is Harrison, Arkansa. There was no return address, however. I left a message on the number that was in the packet (870-221-1150) to to have them call me so i can come up and inspect the kit(s). I am awaiting a reply. I suspect a scam, however.Anyone else called this number(s)?
